Exciting journey into Mayan cave - I had a fascinating time with Pedro from Cave's Branch lodge as he took me and two others through the cave, both on foot and floating in the river on tubes. Upon entering the cave we did have to paddle with our arms since we were going against the gentle current, this was a little tough on the shoulders. We had a delicious picnic lunch in the darkness of the cave. We frequently got out of our tubes to see Mayan artifacts. Pedro knew a lot about the cave's formation as well as as the history, geology, and even about the critters that live in the cave and the river. Would highly recommend for couples, friends, families with teens, and solo travelers. Might be a little long and a bit strenuous for younger children.
