Additional Information

We welcome you at the harbor. A leisurely journey through the city allows you to witness the Belizean lifestyle and our guide will share historical and present-day events that have shaped Belize. A visit to the rum factory offers a chance to sample the local rum. The origins of British Honduras trace back to Pirates, followed by Mahagony loggers and slaves, with remnants from those times such as colonial mansions, Mahagony shards, and vintage rum bottles. As we meander on a leisurely sightseeing cruise, learn about the memorial tomb and lighthouse of our benefactor, the colonial houses, the memorial park, banks, churches, clinics, pharmacies, hospitals, schools, and businesses. Admire the houses, blooming plants, local birds and inhabitants.
There are stops for pictures and a visit to the RUM Factory and Old Rum Museum. There’s plenty of time to make purchases from the Tasting bar and the Rum Gift Shop, before we continue our journey through the historic part of town and then head back to the harbor.

Great experience! - Our guide gave us a great tour of the island with history and local facts pointed out. We enjoyed seeing wildlife at a very peaceful location.. He was very considerate in offering a grocery store stop in case we wanted to pick up some things while we were on land.

Great Tour Great Rum - The rich belize history and personality of the tour guide. Loved that we were able to see the good as well as bad parts of town to see all sides of Belize. The Rum was great and the tastings were plentiful. Did not disappoint!!!!

Saw a lot of the city in two hours - Great tour guide and only the two of us on the city tour. Conducted in SUV and not a van so worked out very well as we went at our pace with the driver. The rum factory was part museum, part manufacturing site and part rum taste tasting. Would go again.

Don’t waste time & money on this tour. - Unfortunately, tour was horrible, nothing but touring city blight, no pretty sights of Belize at all. Then brought to a big grocery store at the end. Guide was very nice.
