Cross the river by wading through water that reaches approximately knee height. Once you’ve reached the opposite bank, partake in an escorted trek through the rainforest and an arid cave, leading up to the launch site. At the river’s edge, you’ll find tandem hard shell kayaks ready for boarding. Familiarize yourself with your vessel while attending a safety orientation. Commence with a brief upstream paddle to the initial cave, where the river emerges from beneath the earth. Proceed downstream, navigating your kayak through the subterranean cave network, illuminated solely by your headlamp. The river meanders through multiple caves and culminates in an open stretch beside the jungle-clad riverbank, concluding at the point where your journey began.

Indescribable adventure - We actually took two tours through UpClose Belize, the ATM cave tour and the 3x combo with monkeys, zip lining and cave tubing. Words can’t express the incredible adventure that UpClose Belize provided us. The tours themselves took us through conservation, history and fun! Whether it was up in the tree tops or below ground in a cave, all the guides were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and entertaining. We especially adored Norman who was friendly and matched the energy of the group. I couldn’t imagine a better time. THANK YOU ALL! 5 stars!!!
