An unforgettable experience! - We had the absolute pleasure of meeting our tour guide John as soon as we landed as he picked us up from the airport. From the start, John was warm and generous in sharing his knowledge of his home city and did not dismiss our endless questions and curiosity about life in Belfast. We felt comfortable in his presence immediately. He did our black cab tour the following morning and it did not disappoint…it was truly unforgettable! Seeing the bordering neighbourhoods of Protestant and Catholic communities was equal parts fascinating and emotional. He told stories from the Shankill Road to the Falls with balance and compassion. So much of what we learnt and saw in Belfast moved us to tears. It is truly an incredible city rich with history, pain and resilience. I feel exceptionally privileged to have learnt so much from John and to have had insight into his lived experience and to be trusted with the stories of others as well. He also gave us fantastic recommendations of where to go and what to see during our time here. Thank you for welcoming us to Belfast and treating us like family, you made it feel like home and we cannot wait to return!

Black Taxi Tour with John made our trip — it’s the perfect start to understanding Belfast’s culture & history - The Black Taxi Tour of Belfast’s peace wall is incredible — in just two hours you feel so engrained in the city’s history. John was our guide — his knowledge and passion made the tour so rich, and he provided such a balanced view of Belfast’s political history with some personal experience that made all the difference. John honestly made our whole trip - making us feel so at home in the city and with the locals, and sharing so many personal recommendations for how to make the most of the city. Could not recommend enough — I hope John is everyone’s guide.

Outstanding Tour Guide - We were guided by John, who was absolutely brilliant, not only in terms of his knowledge, but the ease in which he conducted the tour.

Insightful and delightful - JR John and Dan took myself and 10 of my family on a wonderful tour along with an insightful history. Just enough humour vwas injected and everyone from the kids up to us olds wished they would continue. I can't recommend highly enough. A highlight of the visitors' trip.

Absolutely Brilliant - Absolutely fantastic, these guys made our trip. 12 of us took the tour and the 3 guys, Charlie, Steve and JR, not only had insightful and complete knowledge about the history, they delivered it in the most entertaining and impartial manner possible when telling us of the darker times, we were all sorry to leave at the end. Helpful and accommodating from the start of me booking, they also arranged my return to the airport the following day. As well as the tour they offered us great information on the city, places to visit for fun, food, drink or heritage, nothing was too much trouble for them. We plan to return soon and we will certainly be booking other tours with them, do not miss the chance to meet them.

An education - Charlie was the ultimate guide for this tour with his knowledge and experience of the troubles he gave us a very informative and passionate account of the history of Belfast which comes from a lived experience which was fantastic to hear and we really learned a lot from him . This is a must for anyone visiting Belfast . Would highly recommended him and the tour 11/10 .

Belfast Taxi Tour - 10/10 - Could not recommend enough, Charlie was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We could see the passion he had for telling the stories of Belfast and it's peoples. Excellent tour would highly recommend - Had the tour with Charlie and it was outstanding . Such an interesting and insightful tour regarding the history of Belfast . Charlie couldn’t of been any nicer and clearly knows his stuff! My 13 year old daughter loved it and was telling all her friends in school about her black taxi tour of Belfast and how she got to sign the peace walls. Thoroughly enjoyed this and would highly recommend Charlie to anyone thinking of a tour of Belfast .

Second time doing the tour with Charlie - amazing once again - Our second time doing a black taxi tour with Charlie and we were so impressed once again. We have recommended Charlie to anyone we know who wants to do the tour. Charlie really knows his stuff and explains everything so well. I’m from belfast and i learnt new information each time.
