Fantastic, informative, insightful and fun! - Hugh was a fantastic local man who had lots of knowledge and plenty of personal anecdotes to make his black cab tour of West Belfast interesting, fun and memorable. Hugh took us to key areas and shared unbiased descriptions and understanding of the history and the area today. Would recommend to anyone visiting, well worth it!

Excellent political history tour - Great political tour learning the history past and current. My 19 and 22 year old kids enjoyed. This is not a scenic tour, it is informational and very interesting. Our guide was exceptional and even took us back to the cruise dock since we were running late and couldn’t get a cab. Highly recommend.

A balanced insight - A truly engrossing commentary of the background, history, locations and some of the players from The Troubles period, told with an optimistic outlook. At the end of tour, Hugh's personal story from the times highlighted the relevance of the information we had gleaned. Highly recpmmended.

The Real Story - When I asked our guide if he had seen the movie “Belfast” he said he didn’t need to because he had lived it! The tour was very moving. We loved the very personal stories as well as the murals. This tour is not your typical experience and we left with a good understanding of the history of the conflicts and the guide gave both sides of the story

Political mural taxi tour - First time visitors and we chose Hugh's tour. We throughly enjoyed the whole experience. Hugh is a fantastic guide, incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and good at what he does. The tour went along nicely, enough time spent at each stop and plenty of little historic nuggets shared.
