100-150 York St - After a warm welcome to our axe-cellent venue, we will jump right into a safety briefing. This covers how to stay safe, scoring and competition rules (we can’t have any cheating at crunch time can we?). \n\nThen it is to the reason you guys are all here, the AXES! We’ll run through the basic technique, how to hold and how to throw the axe. Once we’re through this, it is down to you to have a go! The instructor will be on hand throughout the session, watching your throw, offering advice on how you can improve. What is really important to us is that you start to understand your own technique so when you finally leave, you’re a fully fledged axe ninja!\n\nOnce the basics are out of the way it’s quickly onto a wide selection of new throws, double-handed, throwing with the axe head facing backwards, throwing 2 axes at once. These will all help you to develop a strong technique in time for ..the team COMPETITION! Pit your skills against the others in your group, competition mode always brings out some strong axe game!\n\nFinally to end our glorious hour of axe throwing, we will take a group picture! (As long as everyone consents to the picture).

Hello, my name’s Gareth. I’m a seasoned axe thrower and the originator of Black Axe Throwing Co. I, along with my associates Kevin, Jake, Bronach, Alicia, Ryan and Jamie, will provide you with expert guidance from your initial throw. We’ll equip you with all necessary skills to achieve that thrilling first target hit. We’ll guide you through safety protocols and basic techniques, introduce some sophisticated throws that might surprise you, and then…time for the big challenge — the Golden Axe competition. Test your freshly acquired skills with us. If you’ve never gripped an axe before, have no fear, we’re here to guide you. Take inspiration from the 73-year-old grandmother we trained to throw two axes simultaneously! She aced it.

30th Birthday - I booked Axe Throwing as a surprise activity for my husband 30th birthday afternoon. We booked online using viator and when we arrived William was cracking jokes and made us feel so at ease. I was worried that because it at the end of the day your throwing axes it would be very strict but william made everything light hearted and absolutely made sure we had a get but ultimately making sure we were safe. William really made the experience even more fun for us.

Bring out your cave man - Attended a company event here, really enjoyable experience enhanced by the two lads, Jones and the big lad. Enjoyed Jones well scripted spiel which was very amusing. Well worth a visit.
