Falls Road - This is the Catholic/Nationalist area of West Belfast, we will be stopping at many different locations including Divis Tower, Where the British Army had an observation post on top of the residential building and here an introduction to the trouble will be shared, The International Wall, a changing stretch of murals that relate to both Irish and international current political causes.
Bobby Sands Mural, a republican who died on hunger strike in 1981, Clonard Monastery where secret talks took place to negotiate proposals for a cease-fire that eventually led to The Good Friday Agreement. Bombay Street Memorial gardens - Shankill Road - Crossing through the Peace Wall we will visit the iconic location where guests will be invited to sign the wall and leave their thoughts alongside people such as the Dalai Lama Travelling to the Shankill Road we will visit Frizzels Fish shop location where a premature bomb exploded killing 10 people. At every stop, you will leave the cab and receive a full rundown on the murals and sights. There will be ample opportunities for photography at well-known spots like the Bobby Sands Mural, the Lower Shankill estate, and the gates that continue to close each evening. We always welcome questions, and all guests will have the opportunity to leave their signature and personal thoughts on the Peace Wall alongside luminaries such as the Dalai Lama.
