Additional Information

Every city sports a unique blend of shopping and coffee culture, however, Belfast distinguishes itself with its notable history, emerging from three decades of discord. The tours are led by the original taxi drivers who braved the challenges of transporting their communities amidst the gunfire and explosives of THE TROUBLES, putting their lives in danger with every journey in their black cabs.

Northern Ireland is renowned for the mural art that adorns almost every region of the country. Images depicting the IRA and UVF, often spotlighted in global news broadcasts or serving as background for interviews, illustrate the historical events and ideologies from both perspectives, effectively demarcating territories. Though these wall murals may seem menacing at first glance, they have evolved into key tourist attractions, as captivating as other popular destinations within and around Belfast.

Excellent Tour & Tour Guide - Had a fantastic tour with Tony today. 3 of us on the tour had a good knowledge and interest in the events of the Troubles and were curious about the current atmosphere. Tony is a proud Belfast man who covered all sides of the conflict historically, and had brilliant insights into the present, mixed with his hopes for the future. Belfast is a vibrant city and the buzz around it is fantastic. This tour is brilliant no matter what your level of knowledge is. Thanks Tony and good luck with everything. Con, Moya & Martin

A must to understand the complexities of Belfast political history - Driver and guide Brennan provided a terrific tour of the political hot spots of Belfast. We really appreciated his local knowledge and experience, and learned so much that we hadn't known even though we'd thought ourselves well-informed. Plenty of opportunities to get out of the car and take photos, too.

BELFAST IMPRESSES LIKE NO OTHER! WOW! - Outstanding Eye Opening Experience! TONY is a hands-on passionate guide. He showed us both sides of the conflict and also shared his hard personal family experiences during The Troubles. He is a man of conscience, hope, and care. It is super clear he loves his city and was so proud to share the city's success with us. He made the tour great! We were happy to step into his world so we could step back into ours with a newfound inspiration and gratitude for peace, freedom, and brotherly love! ONE LOVE!

Great, but only an hour and a half, not 2 - Our guide was great, friendly, very engaging and informative. I enjoyed all of it. Only disappointing aspect is that the tour was only an hour and a half and not 2 hours as advertised.

Very disappointed - There was a rally going on near our pick up point. They never contacted us or suggested that we move our pick up location. We could have been picked up two blocks away. This is a highlight tour. We were able to contact another guide. He was great and one third the price. The only reason I am giving two stars is that our money was reimbursed immediately.
