- Mutianyu Great Wall - You will find your driver/guide base on your name sign outside baggage claim. Then you will be taken to the Mutianyu Great Wall. After arrival, driver/guide can speak basic English(No history information is available) and will direct you to the right ticket office for ticket purchase (entrance ticket is included). Then walking with you to the shuttle bus site through no-tourist shopping path that you can avoid some aggressive shop owners. After get off the shulttle bus, driver will walk with you to the cable site(toboggan) and give you free time to visit Great Wall. Chair lift/ toboggan is the most popular way to speed up to the Great Wall and slide down, so we highly recommend you to use it. (at your own cost).

Additional Information
If you find yourself with a layover of 10 hours or more, seize the opportunity to visit the Great Wall of China without the need for a prior visa. Your personal driver, who speaks some English, will be on hand to help with finding local cuisine, buying tickets, shopping, etc., ensuring a pleasant, hassle-free, and memorable experience while you’re in Beijing.
- The Great Wall opens from 7:30am to 5pm. Therefore, your arrival flight time should be no later than 12pm; and departure flight time should no early than 1pm.
- As the tour will last around 4-5 hours, plus the time (1.5-2 hours) to get out of airport and the time to catch flight, so the time table is at least 8 hours or longer
- To make the best arrangement of your great wall trip, please advise of your exact arrival and departure flight details
- Luggage will usually go with your connect flight to the destination. If you will have to carry them, you may have them locked in the car.
- If you are not able to go through customs for any reasons, please take your own responsibility. There is no refund for the same day cancellation.
- Mutianyu Great Wall is closed now due to coronavirus, so we will take you to see wild Great Wall instead during these days. And we will arrange Mutianyu Great Wall tour again right after it’s opened.

Great Wall, Great way to spend a 10 layover with a Great tour company! - With the guidance of the Beijing Impressions Tour company, I arranged for a 10 hour layover in Beijing to visit the Great Wall. Tony,my contact at the company, was very helpful ahead of time with specific instructions on how to speedily navigate the airport and find my tour guide. Although it was a Saturday, Tony was in contact with me to ensure I connected with my tour guide. I highly recommend my tour guide and driver, Jim, who spoke great English and provided great historical as well as general information about the Great Wall and Beijing. Jim accompanied me on the wall and took great pictures as he continued to share insights about the wall. And, back at the airport, Jim helped me with my luggage and got me to my flight check in point. I made it back to the airport with 2 1/2 hours to spare! I can't more highly recommend this tour company and Jim and Tony.

Best decission ever - We had a 14 hour stay in Beijing, for transit to New Zealand. As the inner city seamed kind of unspectacular, we decided to book a trip to the wall. And this was the best decision we could make. In the price included is a private driver, the wall entrance fee and the shuttle bus ticket to the wall, as private cars aren't allowed to drive there directly. Our Driver Shane picked us up right at the exit of the baggage area. He is a really lovely guy, who speaks English perfectly, gives a lot of tips and loves to answer questions about China etc.
Arriving at the wall tourism centre after a 1,5 hour drive, he accompanied us all the way. He even walked all the stairs up to the wall with us, to take some pictures from us. After that he gave us the opportunity, to explore the wall on our own. We stayed on the wall for about 1 5 hours. When we walked down the stairs back to the wall tourism center, we met him again and he drove us back, directly to our departure terminal. This trip was worth any penny, thanks to the hilarious driver Shane. Thanks a lot!

What a Treat! - I truly did not expect to have that great of a time in China. I was initially excited but after a long plane ride, I was very tired from a two week vacation with my partner I was just plain worn out. Our tour guide Michael brought my energy back. He was funny personable and took pictures that my boyfriend and I will treasure for the rest of our lives. He saved the day for us and made the great wall and experience I’ll never forget. We recommend this tour highly. Great experience.

Great option for a long layover - This tour was just what I was looking for: an opportunity to see a great historical wonder in the very short time I had in Beijing. Everything was easy. I booked the tour super last minute but it still went smoothly. Shane was great, and his English was excellent. There wasn't any question I had that he couldn't answer. One thing I would suggest is to remember to take out cash or exchange money at the airport since you will need it for the cable car and food/souvenirs.

GREAT - It was a great experience overall. We did not have much time, but they still managed to take us to see the Great Wall. We had a very safe drive, very clean car with bottles of water and tissue paper available. We had a great conversation on the way there and back, very good English! And we had an awesome time at the Great Wall! Thank you Tony, you rock! ☺
