Mutianyu Great Wall - It takes about 1.5 hour drive to the Great Wall at Mutianyu from Beijing downtown . Upon arrival , it will spend around half an hour to reach on great wall , the half an hour spending for buying tickets, going to toilet, walking to cable car station or chairlift station. So doing this part Great wall in 8 hours is a relaxed day trip, especially for family holiday . It will be enjoyable and non-rushed trip. This is a one of the most famous and ideal sections of the Great Wall.
Lunch , Many options after great wall walking. You may choose have rest at Subway restaurant, enjoy the table under the sunshine. You may choose dumpling restaurant nearby great wall car parking place . You may choose local restaurant one the way back to Beijing. Your driver will give you best advice based on your requests. Unforgettable experience! - Mr.Ping from Leo’s private tour took care of us very well. Speaks English fluently. Taught us a lot of the history of the Great Wall. A great photographer too! He is fantastic! Highly recommended.
Had a wonderful experience at Mutianyu Great Wall. We went on a weekday so there wasn’t much crowd but I was told that in general Mutianyu is less crowded than Badaling. We started our journey up on the chairlift, then did a steep 500 steps to tower 1 and went on a fun toboggan ride down to where we took the chairlift from. Went back up for a second ride down! Ended the tour there with a delightful tea ceremony hosted by Sophie.

Awesome visit to the Great Wall! - Mr.Ping from Leo’s private tour was fantastic. We selected the private tour with English speaking driver to visit the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Our driver was on time and gave us recommendations for where to walk along the Great Wall. He also helped purchase tickets and skip the queue. We took a bit longer than expected on our hike coming back down and he was happy to wait for us. Highly recommended.

Winter, Great Wall - We went with Mr.Ping from Leo’s private tour.

Great wall with Mr Ping - Mr.Ping our driver from Leo’s private tour was a great tour guide. Gave lots of interesting information and tips.

One strange thing: we knew cable tickets were not included 140,- but somehow suddenly there was also admission what is not written as you book this trip. total pay to Mr Ping was 200, per person
