Best tour to the Great Wall! - My friend and I really enjoyed the day at this part of the Great Wall. Jack (our guide) speaks very fluent English and he’s very kind and smart. Driver was also great, he drove us around safely and always on time. Bonus: Jack took us amazing photos! Thank you!

Wonderful experience at the Great Wall - We had a great day with Edward and Mr Zhang. Edward shared the history and stories behind The Great Wall, and a lot of information about Beijing and China. We had a comfortable ride to conserve our energy to climb the stairs and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. I highly recommend this tour.

Excellent tour - Jay was an awesome guide. He was super knowledgeable about the history of the Great Wall and pointed out interesting details. He knew great spots for photos. We loved the place he picked for our lunch, not a touristy place — rather, an authentic farmers’ banquet hall with delicious food. The Huanghuacheng hike was also a special treat, and we enjoyed seeing all the families enjoying the waterside. Highly recommend this tour!

Must see! - We had a wonderful time on this trip and it’s so worth the one-on-one tour guide! We toured with Edward and our driver Mr. Gao, and they gave us interesting info and tidbits about Chinas history. Be prepared for a lot of steps (which is to be expected!) We also stopped at a tea house for a quick lesson and a jade shop to learn China’s history with jade.

Its a great day to be a wall - Lucy was an amazing guide and the experience was the best way to view the wall! Between the chair lift up, the toboggin down and the view of the lake, there is no better way to experience one of the seven wonders of the world!

100% worth it! - Anson was amazing! When he picked us up he asked if we had eaten breakfast (we hadn’t), so he took us to an incredible local place where our breakfast came to under £2 for both of us and was incredibly tasty! After that we went to the Mutianyu and beat the crowds, he showed us all the best photo spots and took tons of us two together. Because the wall was quiet we finished it at around 11.15 and weren’t hungry, he recommended a tea house nearby which was a bonus experience! Lunch was amazing and the restaurant was also an experience within itself before then heading to the Huanguacheng tower. What a day!

Great two walls to see - Well organized tour led by friendly and funny tour guide Miko. We were briefed on Great Wall history as well as Beijing. Weather was perfect. Both Walls were stunning and more beautiful than pictures!
Also driver and car were both great.
Special thanks to Miko for keeping the kid entertained in the car; and making us safe all along the tour — yes, there are steep steps to climb the wall.

Enjoyable way to see the Great Wall while beating the crowds. - We had a very enjoyable and uncomplicated time visiting the Great Wall with this great guided tour.
As of September 2023, there are still not a lot of foreign tourists in Beijing and Chinese tourists tend to go to Badaling over Mutianyu, so you can expect to see few people there and almost none at the Huanghuacheng section, meaning that you will have a lot of time to explore these beautiful parts of the Great Wall at your own pace.
Moreover, in addition to being provided with a very friendly and skillful driver, our guide, Lucy, did an outstanding job in making this trip as memorable as possible. On top of being very easy to talk to and informative, I especially have to praise her friendliness and kind nature. She took great care of my elderly grandmother and always tried her best to make the trip as comfortable as humanly possible.
Would highly recommend!

Mixed Feelings - Beautiful adventure despite poor driver and guide - We thoroughly appreciated the opportunity to see 2 vastly different sections of the Great Wall from different perspectives! It was lovely to have the classic experience of hiking the wall at Mutianyu and viewing the wall ruins from the water at Huanghuacheng! Highly recommend this combination… however, we have mixed reviews of this tour company.
Management was wonderful and flexible to accommodate our family with elderly and disabled members by changing the date of our tour due to unfavorable weather creating a safety hazard on the wall.
However, our tour guide and driver left much to be desired. During our day long trip, our driver involved us in 2 incidents/accidents (toll gate fell on the vehicle and he rear-ended another car). Following the minor car accident, our tour was delayed and our guide had to call a DiDi to come pick us up from the site of our accident to complete our tour. However, at no time did the driver or guide inquire about our well-being or safety.
Our guide was kind to go at our pace and made suggestions for what we could see and do, but ultimately only walked a small portion of the wall with us and did not provide much history or cultural context for the different sections of the Great Wall that we experienced. While other guides walked with their customers providing explanation along the way, ours sent us out on our own and said he would wait for us on return. I hope this review helps you as you plan your Great Wall adventure!
