Day trip to Mutianyu with 67 year old mom - We had an easy time arranging this trip and even more wonderful time with our driver, Mr. Wang. -I am a last minute traveler, and often do not plan things until 1-2 days ahead. Leo's booking service was great as he did not need a lot of advance notice to work with me. I appreciate the flexibility and understanding of my last minute requests. He was very responsive and I didn't have to wait long for my pricing and logistical questions. I wanted a private driver because my mom is 67 years old, and at that age, dealing with buses and public transport is a headache. I wanted a stress free experience for her to visit the Great Wall. -We stayed in the hutong area which is very difficult for cars to park and pick up, but Leo's service arranged a good spot for us to meet. Complete with photo of the pick up area and then a photo of the car with license plate so we would know what to look for. I appreciate the extra effort in making sure we would find the driver easily. -My mother and I speak Chinese, so we did not need any English tours or drivers. Our mandarin speaker and driver Mr. Wang was perfect for us! He timed it perfectly so that we were some of the first people on the Wall, so my mother and I had a great experience. He also helped us purchase our ticket and escorted us to the beginning of the actual wall. This was great as we thought we would just be dropped off at the entrance, but Mr. Wang went above and beyond to make sure we did not waste time figuring out how to get to the actual wall. Thank you for a wonderful visit! I'll definitely use Leo's service again the next time I am in Beijing again and need a driver for day trips. -Cathy and Mom

Punctual and friendly - Leo was great to arrange for the tour and the tour driver and guide Eason was very nice and accommodating with a good command of English. He didn't mind taking a small detour when we asked him to. Overall, we are very happy!

Great Day trip with April - Our tour started early with a pick up from the Tianjin Cruise Port. We chose Leo's Tours because of the good reviews and also because he was very helpful in organising an itinerary that not only included the Great Wall, but also the Forbidden Palace and Tiananmen Square. Our tour guide April was a wonderful guide and an absolute delight. She spoke fluent English, was very knowledgeable and told us many interesting facts about the places we visited . April has a warm, happy personality that made her a pleasure to be with. The tour was a great alternative to the Ship's tours as we were able to see all three attractions on the one tour

To the top of the line - We visited the Great Wall - 2 sections with English speaking driver Eric, he arrived early and was very professional from first greeting to the last goodbye. He looked after us especially well; we parked as close as possible to the entries; skipped past the queue's of tour groups; he did all the talking and secured us a few discounts along the way. It was my Dad's first time overseas and I couldn't have wished for a better experience for him, when he was tired we just went back to the car and did everything at our own pace, Eric was willingly accommodating. Next time I go to China, I will be booking a car from Leo's for every day.

Perfect day trip to Mutianyu - We recently booked a private tour of Mutianyu. Despite my many questions, the person who I contacted at Leo's was very professional and patient. Once we got everything finalized, it was seamless. Jackie, who was our guide/driver, picked us up at our hotel promptly. He was extremely friendly and spoke perfect English which was a relief as we know only a few words in Mandarin. The car (minivan) that we rode in was very clean and comfortable. Jackie was very patient with our children (esp. with my son who has Aspergers and can sometimes talk very fast). Jackie has a son so he was great with them. We enjoyed our ride out to Mutianyu and he gave a great lesson on the history of the Great Wall. Since he takes clients out there almost every day, he was able to drive up and park closer to the ticket entrance. He purchased our tickets and we headed to the chairlift. Once again, Jackie showed his kindness and patience with my son as they rode together on the chairlift. Once we got to the top, he explained everything we'd need to know, we set a time to meet him in a few hours at the Subway outside the entrance. We are not good with "tours" (we like to explore on our own) so this was perfect for us. Once it was time to meet, Jackie was already there waiting for us. He took us to a lovely restaurant for lunch and thankfully the menu had pictures of everything. He gave us another lesson on proper etiquette for dining (chopstick placement, etc) which helped later on when we were on our own at another restaurant. The food we ordered was delicious although the restaurant's portions were much larger than our appetites. Once we were back on the road, we had another enjoyable conversation with Jackie. He was able to drop us off at a store we requested. I highly recommend using Leo's and especially recommend Jackie.

Day Trip to Mutianyu Great Wall - April was a wonderful guide! This was the only tour that we went on while in China and was well worth the cost. She gave us information not only about the Great Wall, but also about Beijing. She was very insightful and gave us a new insight into China. The day was extremely planned out and we had nothing to worry about which made the day trip very enjoyable. I would highly recommend.

A legendary day with Leo’s Private Tours - We decided to visit a few different sections of the Great Wall during our week in Beijing. We had dismissed the Badaling Section due to it’s reputation of being terribly over crowded. So we decided on the Mutianyu Great Wall Day Tour with Leo’s Private Tours. Our van arrived exactly on time (Pretty good considering Beijing traffic!) Our guide Susan, was wonderful and made the day perfect. We got an informative but not over done narrative during our 1.5 hour drive out of the city. Our transport was quiet, clean and comfortable. The Mutianyu Section of the wall is more touristy than other sections but would suit anyone not wanting to do too much hard walking. This is a family friendly section of the wall, with western toilets. There are plenty of options here that would suit almost anyone. You can walk up, use the chairlift or the gondola. We used the chairlift, explored that section of the wall then came down on the toboggan. After exploring all morning Susan organised a generous and tasty Chinese lunch. There’s even a Subway restaurant here if that’s your preference. Afterwards we rode the gondola up and back on another part of the wall. It’s easy going mostly because this section of the wall is largely restored. It looks like it did when it was built, almost 700 years ago. Probably one of the reasons why this section is visited by many foreign dignitaries. Susan did all the leg work during the day, organised our tickets each time as well as getting us whatever we needed. She also took plenty of photo’s for us and emailed them to us after we got back to Oz. We had a great time on the tour and highly recommend it. We really appreciated there were no “shopping” diversions or other forced stops. Thanks again to Susan and to our driver. We had a great time and will do other tours with you if we ever get back to Beijing.

We learned a lot! - I booked Enjoy Leo's for a private day tour of Tiananmen's Square, the Forbidden City, and the Mutianyu Great Wall. There were 5 adults in our group, and we got a driver with mini van and April as our tour guide. This was a great investment! Booking online was easy and email conversations leading up to tour day were efficient. I would not hesitate to book with Enjoy Leo's the next time I'm in China (and I'd ask for April!). On the morning of our tour, our guide April was waiting for us in the hotel lobby, a few minutes early. She walked us to the van which was comfortable, and the driver offered us bottled waters immediately. We started with Tiananmen's Square, getting there shortly after they opened the security checkpoint. No weapons or cigarette lighters are allowed through any security checkpoint in China, so don't bother bringing these items with you. Camera equipment and liquids are ok. We then walked over to the Forbidden City. It was so nice to experience this with a guide who could maneuver us away from the crowds (it was Saturday), and could tell us all about the City and the people that lived there. We stayed to the west side of the complex, so we certainly didn't see everything, but we didn't have a full day booked there, so we got the highlights instead. April coordinated with the driver to pick us up on the north side of the City, and we continued to the Great Wall. When we got there, we were informed that we'd need to buy a drink or something at the Subway at the entrance so we could access the closer parking lot. No big deal since we knew we wanted to buy drinks afterwards anyways and they're cheap. April asked if we wanted to take enclosed gondolas up and down, ski lifts up and down, or ski lift up and toboggan down. We chose the last option. We took the ski lifts up to the top of the Wall and explored three gates, even going to the roof of one. We then took the toboggan down to the base. It's a fun way to get down the hill and you really don't go that fast since there are so many people in front of you. At the bottom, we bought our sodas from Subway and were on our way. After the wall, April took us to a local village for lunch. We ordered a variety of dishes to share and they were all quite tasty. This was included in our tour, so April took care of all payment. We were full and happy when we left. It was then back to our hotel. April was a wealth of knowledge about China, Beijing, and the places we were visiting. She really enriched our travel to these historic sites. I would book another trip with her in a heartbeat. We must have asked her a million questions about the City and Wall, living in China, the culture, and so much more. Her English is great and her style is relaxed and comfortable. I highly recommend Enjoy Leo's if you're looking for a private tour!
