Fun Evening Out in Beijing - Yurt, Craft Brew & City Tour! - This was a great evening - we were a group of three, myself, my husband and our 9 year old son and we all enjoyed this activity a lot. The Mongolian village was great - 20 yurts with entertainment and cool camel and goat with 4 horns! Food was great, and our tour guide - nicknamed Cactus - was so helpful with the ordering and making sure we got the right food and right amount. She also got great family photos of us and emailed us the full files. Then it was off into the heart of the city to a brew pub and then to see the coolest buildings and walk around "The Place" - an outdoor shopping area. Having the personal guide and private car/driver with us was so helpful - they got us right to all the sites and made getting around the city seamless. Very fun night and our guide also had lots of useful info - both re Mongolian culture and then just info on all the new buildings. We felt we learned a lot more because she was with us. All in all a great night out!

Very friendly and knowledgeable tour... -
Very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide! And the food was delicious. Our 1st meal in China we actually were scarfing food down! The yurt experience however is not private as you are seated in a large yurt and the guide actually joins you for the meal. Couples should note these things prior to booking. For those looking for a more authentic experience, I personally would recommend finding a yurt outside of the city. The brewery is a nice way to meet other young professionals in a trendy area where there is a good mix of foreigners and locals.
