As per your itinerary, a comfortable, non-smoking vehicle with a skilled driver will be ready to take you to explore the Gubeikou Great Wall.
The drive from downtown Beijing to the Great Wall at Gubeikou takes approximately 2 hours. This section is ideal for a leisurely walk, as it is well-maintained and has fewer steep inclines compared to other parts of the Great Wall. The wall follows the ridge, offering expansive views as you hike.
The hike from the starting point to the Jinshanling main gate takes 3.5 hours, and to the East gate of Jinshanling, it takes 5 hours. You can choose one of these options and inform your driver, who will be waiting for you at your selected pick-up point.
After your visit to the wall, your driver can take you for lunch or dinner and then drive you back to Beijing, dropping you off at your hotel, airport, or train station as needed.
- Jinshanling Great Wall - The Jinshanling Great Wall is one of the most stunning and authentic sections of the Great Wall, renowned for its majestic mountain views, well-preserved watchtowers, and ancient allure. Visitors can hike along the winding wall, explore centuries-old beacon towers, and truly experience China’s historical defense system.
Unlike the busier sections near Beijing, Jinshanling offers a quieter and more immersive experience with vast landscapes, perfect for photography and peaceful exploration. It’s more than just a sightseeing spot — it’s a journey through time, nature, and the spirit of adventure.
