Olympic Forest Park - Situated in Chaoyang District, the Beijing Olympic Park stretches along the northern terminus of Beijing’s central axis. This expansive, artificially created natural park was established for the 2008 Olympic Games.
The Olympic Forest Park, often referred to as the city’s “green lung,” is a popular destination for flower enthusiasts during the spring season. Visitors can admire a variety of blossoms such as cherry, begonia, clove, and magnolia, among others.
In the morning, we will arrange for your pickup from your downtown Beijing hotel and transport you directly to the park. The park consists of two sections, and you have the option to explore both the north and south areas throughout the day. You may choose to stroll leisurely along the paths at your own pace or opt for the sightseeing shuttle bus to enjoy the floral displays.
Regarding lunch, you are welcome to bring along snacks and fruit for a picnic, or we can escort you to a nearby local restaurant. Please note that the cost of lunch is not included and will be at your own expense.

A Great Eco-tour in Beijing - While planning the tour, Catherine provided many good suggestions to cater for our wish for an eco-tour in Beijing. She was patient and always willing to help. On that day we went to two spots, the Olympic Forest Park 奥林匹克森林公园 and Wenyuriver Park 温榆河公园·未来智谷. Our tour guide Sonia is very knowledgeable and cheerful. She speaks very good English and mandarin, and has lived in Beijing for decades. She did some research the environmental engineering design of the parks and introduced them to us (such as the water treatment system and use of reclaimed water on artificial wetland, smart rubbish bins etc.) For lunch, she reserved a very decent traditional local Chinese restaurant which we all enjoyed. Although the walk during the tour was tiring, it was fruitful and relaxing. Thanks Catherine and Sonia for arranging such a wonderful journey!
