It’s the emperor’s Summer Palace of the Qing Dynasty. It’s the largest imperial garden in China (double size of Beijing’s Summer Palace), construction spanned nearly ninety years (beginning under Emperor Kangxi in 1703 and lasting through the greater part of Emperor Qianlong’s reign). The Imperial Summer Villa often used as a de facto second capital as Kangxi set a precedent followed by a succession of other Qing emperors. In 1994, the Imperial Summer Villa became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Potala Palace (Putuo Zongcheng Temple) - After your authentic local food lunch, you will visit the largest temple in the outer eight temples, the little Potala Palace. It was built for Dalai Lama and Panchen Lama during their visit for Tibet. That is why the temple was built on the model of the Potala Palace in Lhasa. You will have couple of hours to visit this temple.
