Interesting and informative - Miko was great. Knowledgeable about a range of things, not just food. We went around one particular neighborhood, including the hu tong there, an ancient Beijing neighborhood type that we had never heard of. We had really nice food, unlike what we get in Europe, which is why we did the food tour.

Fabulous food tour with Jay - Absolutely brilliant experience with our guide Jay, who took us to a whole host of eateries and showed us some of the hutong when it just got dark - a truly magical experience. All the food was delicious and the variety was good too.

Great Activity in Beijing - Miko was a great guide! I tried lots of good food and he shared some information and history about the food and the area. My favorite were the soup dumplings.

Walking food tour review - Mike was exceptional. Loved the experience (not so much some of the food!) I felt like it was a very authentic experience with food that I would have never tried and some I will never try again. Definitely worth the time.

A great culinary introduction to Beijing - For foodies or for anyone interested in sampling the multiple delicacies and differing cuisines in Beijing, this tour is a must. We were very fortunate to be shown around by Anson who was both knowledgeable about the history of the Hutongs but also made sure we tried an extremely broad range of dishes. Anson is engaging, humorous and helpful - including with technology - and we were very pleased and satiated with the experience.

Enjoyable afternoon - We spent a wonderful afternoon with Lucy who took us to various local eateries and got a good sampling of what the locals eat. She gave a good description of the foods which made for an enjoyable experience. There is a lot of food so come hungry and pace yourself! She provided a good background to the hutongs and their history. I would recommend this tour to become familiar with the local cuisine, especially if you are staying at a Westernized hotel and eating the same kind of food that you would eat at home.
