Love this tour! - We had a fabulous day with our tour guide Miko. Miko was a fun and enthusiastic guide who shared a lot of stories, history and insights with us not only on the delicious dishes but also on Beijing and its culture. Miko also spiced up the tour by his genuine sense of humour. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get a real taste of Beijing city life and culture!

Just book it! A highlight for our trip 👌🏼 - The whole thing was great! We booked a private tour so we had more time for us and it was well worth it. Anson was amazing! You can’t beat it when a local shows you around. The hardest part was not over eating with more still to come. We learnt so much, ate too much and had a great laugh. Loved the Hutong walk as well. Thank you!!! What a great memory we have 😊

Great Hutong food tour with Anson! - Wonderful food tour trip with Anson! Great to visit the hutong area and to learn the history. We ate so many different types of food, in particular the BBQ and sweet potato noodles were amazing! Lots of spicy food too which was great! Special mention for the xiaolongbao too! Anson is a very friendly, knowledgable and cool guy, and was the perfect host. We ate great food and learnt a lot about Chinese history too! Highly recommend this food tour, and Anson as a host! Thanks for a great night!

Fantastic Beijing Food Tour and More - We had a great time with Lucy on the Beijing food tour. We got to try a wide variety of interesting Chinese dishes, and had the option to be as brave as we wanted to be, without any pressure to eat anything we didn't want to. Lucy was a lot of fun to be with, she has excellent English and is an empathetic and highly knowledgeable host. We really enjoyed wandering around old Beijing with her, exploring the Hutongs, learning about the history and culture as well as the food. We highly recommend this tour and Lucy as a guide.

Good Tour through Beijing! - Originally had another tour booked but was told if I was the only traveler at the start time then they would not proceed. I booked this tour after canceling said previous tour thinking there were more people on this one and not being told otherwise. To my surprise I was the only one and the tour still went along! My tour guide Lucy was amazing!! She was so informative and kind. We had such good food and Lucy was so considerate of my likes and dislikes but overall an amazing tour!!

For one night take this food tour instead of a restaurant - Our food & hutong tour with Lucy was one of the highlights of our short 4-day stay in Beijing. From the get-go she was very attentive to our questions and flexible with our dietary needs. All the while she made sure to chose for us a generous selection of foods/dishes that represented China’s diverse culture. Each person in our group had their favorite dishes — but all the foods featured very unique flavors. Lucy’s knowledge of the hutong neighborhood was impressive and made our tour more enjoyable than just a simple food tour. Instead of going to a restaurant for an evening, I’d highly recommend you take this tour and get generously fed samples of many different authentic, local foods!

Great taste of Beijing - The tour was a great way to experience the local food of Beijing. Lucy, my guide, was great, she gave me lots of insights into the food and culture of China and specifically of Beijing. The foods that I tried were delicious and a great variety of soups, meats and sweets. I felt like a king with course after course of tasty foods. We also did a little walking tour to see the historical old town. I’d recommend this tour for anyone that wants to experience a more local taste of Beijing.
