Friendly Tour Guide - This was a very good tour. Cathy was a knowledgeable and friendly guide, and showed off the highlights of the museum’s Permanent Exhibition on Chinese prehistory and history. We also visited the collection of Chinese jade afterwards, and again Cathy added useful context.

Great experience with Diana - We had a great tour at the Chinese National Museum with Diana! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and spoke good English. She brought the exhibits to life with her insights and answered all our questions. Highly recommended! Cathy was also very helpful to coordinate the experience. It's a very vast museum, having a guide gave us better context and time management for this tour.
It was also the only way we got to go to the museum on the days we wanted, otherwise the tickets were very difficult to get on our own.

Worth getting a ticket through an agency, otherwise almost impossible. - I had a very good time with Diana (my tour guide) during my visit to the Museum. She was kind and helpful while trying to navigate such a big exposition. I would definitely recommend to book a tour with an agency if you want to visit the museum. For me, as a foreigner, it was almost impossible to get on my own. You need a WeChat account and/or a local phone number. So my recommendation is to avoid the hassle and book with the agency.

visited the national museum with cathy and it was amazing! - we booked with cathy the day before and managed to get tickets quickly to show us the museum the next day! she was an incredible guide, very friendly and knowledgeable of ancient and imperial chinese history. we recommend her to anyone who wants to visit the national museum with a guide who knows their stuff!

Wonderful - Beijing Half Day: National Museum of China In-depth Tour with Subway Transfer
Cathy my tour guide was outstanding from start to finish 😀
Her knowledge of Chinese history was exceptional and made my tour very enjoyable .
I found Cathy to be very easy to get along with , more a friend than a tour guide .
when my tour finished she arranged a taxi back to my hotel and even called the taxi to see if I got back to my hotel safely .
I highly recommend this tour especially if you want to know more about Chinese culture and history .

Very good experience - We booked this tour because the mini-sotes to book the tickets to the National Museum open 7days in advance only and everyone rushes to get tickets. On asite that's all in Chinese it proved to be quite tricky, se we decided to book via an agency.
They themselves couldn't manage to get 4 tickets the day we wanted, but offered alternatives so me did the visit a few days later.
The guide Michael was very knowledgeable and easy going.
The museum has many rooms with various exhibitions and permanent collections, but really just the Ancient China collection and the building itself are totally worth the visit.
