Beijing - Huanghuacheng Great Wall - Jinshanling (L,D)
Great Wall at Huanghuacheng - Meet your professional trekking guide in Beijing city in the morning, and travel to the Huanghuacheng Great Wall in Huairou District, located 60 kilometers from Beijing. This section is named for the abundant yellow flowers (in Chinese: Huang Hua) that bloom in midsummer. It is also known as the Great Wall under the Water, as three separate sections of the wall are submerged in the Xishuiyu Reservoir. It is renowned for its harmonious blend of the magnificent Great Wall, stunning mountains, and surrounding blue waters.
Upon arrival, begin walking along the mountain path for about 15 minutes to reach the Great Wall. This section has been renovated in its original style, steep and challenging. There are no parapets on either side. Follow the ridge to the top for a bird’s-eye view of the reservoir and the breathtaking view of the Great Wall amidst the mountains and lake. The total trek lasts around 5 to 6 hours, and lunch is included in this tour (lunch begins around 2:00 pm, and snacks are provided if you are hungry before lunchtime).

Gubeikou - Jinshanling (B, L, D)
The Great Wall of Gubeikou - After breakfast, your guide will take you to the Gubeikou Great Wall, a 20-minute drive away. Upon arrival, you will walk through a small village and farmland before ascending the Gubeikou Great Wall. After 3 to 4 hours of hiking, you will reach the 24-hole Guard Tower, the highest point of this section. Additionally, you will encounter historical remnants along the way, such as bullet holes and damages on the Towers, which will transport you back to the 1930s. Your tour guide will share some historical insights prior to the Second Sino-Japanese War.
You will have lunch at a local farmer’s house, then walk towards Zhuanduokou at Jinshanling Great Wall after lunch, concluding today’s tour.
Jinshanling - Simatai West - Beijing
Jinshanling Great Wall - Witness the sunrise with your packaged breakfast at the Jinshanling Great Wall, known for its complex and well-preserved fortification systems and the largest number of watchtowers. These watchtowers, standing 5-8 meters high, are constructed from large bricks, each showcasing a unique architectural style.
Then, hike towards the Simatai Great Wall direction for another 3 hours, where you will see the East 5-hole Guard Tower. If you wish to hike further, you can continue for an additional 200 meters and return. Enjoy a delightful lunch before heading back to Beijing. The estimated arrival time at your Beijing hotel is between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
