Beijing - Today, the tour guide will meet guests at their Beijing hotel lobby at 8:00 am. The first stop will be Tiananmen Square.

Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang) - At Tiananmen Square, visitors can capture stunning photos of the Tiananmen Tower, Monument to the People’s Heroes, and Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao. Located in the heart of Beijing City, Tiananmen Square has been the site of numerous historical events and gatherings over the centuries. Today, it hosts grand celebrations, military parades, and welcoming ceremonies for foreign dignitaries. Visitors can admire the towering Monument to the People’s Heroes and the solemn Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao. Traditional structures like the Tiananmen Tower, Zhengyang Gate, and Qianmen Arrow Tower are also present.

Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - Next, guests will cross the Tiananmen Tower to visit the Forbidden City, where 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368 - 1911) resided and managed national affairs. As the imperial palace during these dynasties, the Forbidden City is the largest and best-preserved ancient wooden complex globally. The palace is divided into the Inner Court and Outer Court by the Palace of Heavenly Purity, with the Outer Court for state affairs and the Inner Court as the imperial family’s residence. The complex is also a vast museum with over a million national treasures on display.

Mutianyu Great Wall - Upon reaching the scenic area’s parking lot, guests will take an electric car to the entrance, followed by a chairlift to the 14th watchtower. A leisurely hike on the wall for about 2 hours will conclude with a toboggan ride down. The Great Wall at Mutianyu, built and restored in the early Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), is one of the most renowned sections of the Wall. Mutianyu is celebrated for its unique charm among the Great Walls. Visitors can explore the ancient structure and learn about its history and significance. The professional guide will answer questions and share exclusive stories about the Mutianyu Great Wall.

Beijing - At the end of the day, guests will be escorted back to their Beijing hotel.

Beijing - Xi’an by flight. O/N Xi’an.

Beijing - In the morning, the guide and driver will pick up guests from their hotel to continue the Beijing tour.

Temple of Heaven - The first visit will be to the Temple of Heaven, the largest royal ceremonial building complex in China. Historically, emperors held annual sacrificial ceremonies here to worship heaven and pray for a good harvest. Today, it is a large park where visitors can see locals engaging in exercises and recreational activities.

Back Lakes (Hou Hai) - The tour continues with a visit to Beijing Hutong, where guests will take a rickshaw ride through the old alleys and visit a Hutong family to experience traditional Beijing life. The area is home to popular restaurants, cafes, and local food stores, offering a chance to taste local cuisine. The guide will provide recommendations. After lunch, guests can stroll around Houhai Lake and explore more of the Hutong area.

Lama Temple (Yonghegong) - After visiting the Hutong, guests will be driven to the Lama Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in Beijing. It showcases various architectural styles from different groups, including Han, Manchu, Mongol, and Tibet. Open to tourists since 1981, it attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually for prayer and sightseeing.

Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) - A 30-minute drive will take guests to the Summer Palace, known as the museum of ancient royal gardens. The expert guide will lead the tour. The garden mainly consists of Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake. The Long Corridor, 728 meters (796.2 yards) long, is the longest corridor in Chinese gardens, linking Longevity Hill with Kunming Lake. Visitors can admire exquisite murals and enjoy melodious music while walking along.

Beijing Capital International Airport - Finally, the guide and driver will escort guests to Beijing airport, possibly booking the CZ8821 flight (20:00–22:20), which takes around 2.5 hours.

Xi’an Xianyang International Airport - Upon arrival in Xi’an, guests will be picked up and transferred to the hotel (Driver only, no guide).

Xi’an - In the morning, the tour guide will meet guests at their Xi’an hotel lobby at 9:00 am and transfer them to the Terracotta Warriors Museum, an 80-minute drive, 45 km away.

The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses - The guide will reserve tickets online in advance, allowing guests to skip the line at the Museum entrance. Following the guide, guests will explore the Terracotta Warriors Museum, visiting the three excavated pits and the Bronze Chariots and Horses Exhibition Hall. Despite being buried for over 2,200 years, the clay warriors and horses remain vivid with distinct features. Guests will spend at least two and a half hours at this remarkable site.

Small Goose Pagoda - Next, guests will transfer to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, located inside Jianfu Temple, about one kilometer south of Xi’an city proper. It is one of two significant Buddhist pagodas from the Tang Dynasty, about 1300 years ago. Small Wild Goose Pagoda and its larger counterpart, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, are important Buddhist sites dating back to the Tang Dynasty.

The two pagodas symbolized Chang’an (Constant Peace) city. Xi’an (West Peace) was known as Chang’an until the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), when Beijing became China’s capital. Chang’an served as the capital for ten dynasties.

Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang) - After lunch, guests will transfer to the city wall. They can walk or cycle around the wall, with bike fees paid locally if chosen. The ancient City Wall, encircling the old city, is a famous Xi’an attraction. It is one of the oldest and best-preserved Chinese city walls and one of the largest ancient military defensive systems globally.

Muslim Quarter - The final stop will be the Muslim Bazaar, the city’s most bustling area. Guests can explore the bazaar at their own pace and return to the hotel independently. The guide will provide directions for returning. The Great Mosque and the Bell and Drum Tower Square are within walking distance of the Bazaar. The Bazaar offers many boutique stores with fair prices and excellent dining options for dinner.

Xi’an - At the end of the day, guests will be driven back to their Xi’an hotel.

Xi’an - Chengdu by train. O/N Chengdu.

Xi’an - In the morning, the tour guide will meet guests at their Xi’an hotel lobby at 8:30 am and transfer them to Hanyanglin, a 30-minute drive, 15 km away.

Tomb of Emperor Jingdi (Hanyangling) - Guests will first drive for one hour to visit the Hanyangling Mausoleum, located at the site of the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi, built in 153 AD. Accompanied by the guide, guests will closely examine the ancient tombs through glass floors and walls in the tomb pits. Additionally, the advanced Spectra Vision program will recreate the real life of the Western Han Dynasty about 2,000 years ago. Guests will have two hours to explore the site.

Shaanxi History Museum - After lunch, the Xi’an group tour continues to the Shaanxi History Museum. The unique historical and cultural heritage of Shaanxi is undoubtedly praiseworthy as a treasure house of Chinese civilization, and the museum is a palace of art displaying Shaanxi’s history and culture and China’s ancient civilization. The museum houses approximately 370,000 antiquities, ranging from prehistoric relics to those from the 1840s. The collection spans over a million years and is superior in value, quantity, rank, and species. The guide will provide professional explanations.

Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta) - Instead of entering the temple to visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, guests will have a photo stop for half an hour. Based on suggestions from previous guests, this is sufficient to see the pagoda and the statue of Monk Xuanzang at the south square outside the temple. As a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists, the pagoda, built during the Tang Dynasty, was once the site for Xuanzang to translate Buddhist sutras.

Xi’an North Railway Station Parking Lot - In the late afternoon, guests will be driven to Xi’an North Railway Station, where a train to Chengdu awaits (D1947 18:00–21:41). The train journey takes around 4 hours.

成都站 - Upon arrival in Chengdu, guests will be picked up and transferred to the Chengdu hotel (Driver only, no guide).

Chengdu. O/N Chengdu.

Chengdu - In the morning, the driver and guide will meet guests at 8:00 am at their Chengdu hotel and transfer them to Chengdu Panda Base, a 30-minute drive, 15 km away.

Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi) - First, guests will visit Chengdu’s Giant Panda Breeding Research Base, home to over 80 of China’s iconic pandas. Most are the familiar black and white variety, but the Base also houses several smaller, lesser-known red pandas.

Visitors will observe the animals eating and playing in a carefully maintained habitat that closely resembles their natural environment. They will also learn about scientists’ and ecologists’ efforts to protect the few remaining wild pandas and expand the captive population. Notably, over 100 bears have been born at the Base since 1987.

The Base gained even more importance after the 2008 Sichuan earthquake, with eight bears relocated here from the severely damaged Wolong reserve. The visit provides both moral and financial support for ongoing conservation efforts.

Chengdu Renmin Park - Next, guests will visit Renmin Park, a comprehensive garden for cultural heritage collection and entertainment. Locals in Chengdu often relax by drinking tea here. Visitors will experience the “Capital of Leisure” lifestyle by visiting Renmin Park. Crowds gather in the park’s shade from sunrise. Activities include visiting a teahouse, ordering tea, reading for an afternoon, or chatting with friends. Enjoying Chengdu’s slow life, guests may feel a sense of happiness.

Jinli Pedestrian Street - After lunch, guests will take a private car to Jinli Old Street for an impressive trip to the famous old street. Time seems to slip away while walking on lively streets filled with delicious local snacks, delicate artifacts, and interesting folk shows.

Chengdu - At the end of the day, the guide will escort guests back to their hotel.

Chengdu - Chongqing by train. O/N Victoria Cruise boat.

Chengdu - After breakfast at the hotel, the driver and guide will meet guests at the hotel lobby at 9:00 am and transfer them to Leshan, a 2.5-hour drive, 150 km away.

Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo) - Dating from the 8th century, the Giant Buddha of Leshan is the largest carved stone Buddha and the tallest pre-modern statue in the world. It was carved from the cliffs of Lingyun Shan to calm the turbulent waters of the three rivers flowing beneath it. Stairs carved into the cliff connect the area at the Buddha’s feet with the land above, offering various vantage points to view this astonishing sight. Views are stunning over elbows and knees, taking in the river scene and Leshan’s skyline.

Upon arrival in Leshan, guests can have lunch at a restaurant with a view of the Giant Buddha. They will then explore the Giant Buddha and enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding landscape from atop the Buddha’s head.

The visit includes Lingyun Temple and Museum, providing deeper insight into the history of this remarkable Buddhist site and the story of the Giant Buddha’s carving.

成都东站 - Afterwards, guests will take a private car back to Chengdu East railway station, possibly booking the G8513 train (16:21–18:02), which takes around 2.5 hours.

Chongqing Railway Station - Upon arrival in Chongqing, guests will be picked up and transferred directly to the Chongqing cruise port (Driver only, no tour guide), a 50-minute drive. Boarding the ship is from 18:30 to 21:00, with departure from Chongqing at 21:30 (Dinner is not included tonight).

Yichang - The local guide will meet guests at the Three Gorges tourist center and accompany them to visit Yichang city center, including Riverside Park and Wanda Plaza. After lunch, guests will be dropped off at Yichang airport for a flight to Shanghai, possibly booking the Mu2675 flight (18:00–19:55).

Shanghai Pudong International Airport - Upon arrival in Shanghai, guests will be picked up and transferred to the hotel (Driver only, no guide).

Shanghai - The guide will pick up guests at the hotel lobby around 09:00 am. Guests will be escorted to the renowned Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, a 20-minute ride away.

Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall - At the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, guests can view numerous textual and graphic files and architectural models, providing an overall understanding of Shanghai’s development.

Yu Garden (Yuyuan) - In the afternoon, guests will enjoy a relaxing time strolling through the beautiful Yu Garden. Located in the old town, Yuyuan Garden is the city’s most famous ancient site, known for its ingenious layout and delicate architecture. The garden’s treasure, Yu Ling Long (an exquisite jade stone), an artificial hill, is considered one of the three most renowned peaks in Southern China.

Yuyuan Old Street - Next, guests will visit Yuyuan Bazaar, also known as Yuyuan Market, located outside Yu Garden in the heart of Old Shanghai City, near the Old City God Temple. The area features many traditional Chinese buildings, now used as commercial stores selling local products, snacks, jewelry, souvenirs, antiques, and more.

Shanghai World Financial Center - Afterwards, guests will visit the Shanghai World Financial Center and ascend to the 100th floor for panoramic city views. It is the world’s 8th tallest building and the 4th tallest structure in Mainland China. The 100th floor features a 55-meter-long viewing gallery, the second-highest observation deck in China, higher than the Canadian TV Tower (447 meters) and the Dubai Tower (440 meters).

The Bund (Wai Tan) - Following this, guests will visit the Bund area, the essence of Shanghai. Located on the bank of the Huangpu River, travelers visit the Bund for its charming riverside scenery and unique western and gothic architecture. Free time will be provided for guests to stroll around the Bund and take photos.

Shanghai - Finally, guests will be driven back to their hotel or may enjoy their own time at Nanjing Road, which is nearby.

Shanghai - The guide will pick up guests at the hotel lobby around 09:00 am. Guests will be escorted to the renowned Zhujiajiao water town, a 60-minute ride away.

Zhujiajiao Ancient Town - The Zhujiajiao water town is famous nationwide, with a history of over 1,700 years. Covering an area of 47 square kilometers (11,614 acres), the fan-shaped town, known as Shanghai’s Venice, shines like a bright pearl amid lakes and mountains. Three places in the water town are worth visiting: Kezhi Garden, Qing Dynasty Post Office, and Fangsheng Bridge. The tour guide will accompany guests to these sites.

Kezhi Garden, built in 1912, features various pavilions and buildings, a lotus pond, stele corridors, a bridge of nine turnings, and diverse plants. Guests can see the calligraphy inscriptions of Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644 AD) literati, with high artistic value, in the stele corridor.

In the Qing Dynasty Post Office, guests can view precious old postcards and letters from the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911 AD). A post box with a carved dragon, still in use today, is also present.

Fangsheng Bridge, built in the Ming Dynasty, is Shanghai’s largest and longest stone arch bridge, featuring five arches.

Guests will take a local wooden boat from Kezhi Garden and disembark at North Street. The remaining time is for free exploration of the ancient streets.

Guests will have the opportunity to interact closely with local people and experience their lifestyle.

Jade Buddha Temple - After lunch, guests will visit the Jade Buddha Temple. Built in 1882 for two white jade Buddha statues from Burma, the Jade Buddha Temple is a renowned Buddhist shrine and active Zen monastery. The temple plays a significant role in promoting Buddhism through cultural means, including lectures, library services, Buddhist academic publications, and regular cultural activities.

Tianzifang - The tour will conclude at Tianzifang, an old-style cultural block featuring distinctive Shikumen buildings with art studios, themed cafés and bars, and handicraft workshops.

Shanghai - At the end of the tour, guests will be driven back to their hotel or seen off at Shanghai Railway Station/airport, marking the end of the 11-day tour services.
