Ljubljana - In the morning meet and greet your guide and travel companions in the lobby of the hotel / airport. After becoming acquainted with each other we shall take a walking tour of the city centre of Ljubljana. The old city centre has a unique architectural appearance, particularly due to its mixture of Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture with masterful creations by the 20th century architect Jože Plečnik. The funicular will take us to the Castle of Ljubljana situated above the town. We shall spend some time admiring the magnificent view, which on a sunny day stretches all the way to the Alps. Upon our return to the old city centre we will stop to enjoy an introductory tasting with a variety of craft beers and snacks. Then we shall visit the Brewery Museum at the Union Brewery, where we will learn about the brewing process and Slovenia’s beer culture. After an educational visit we shall have an early dinner in the Union Pivnica where we can enjoy traditional local dishes with a glass of beer. We suggest ending the day with a boat cruise on the Ljubljanica River or with a visit to one of Ljubljana’s many pubs. Overnight in a centrally located four-star hotel.
