Incredible Two Days in Burgundy - My wife and I spent two amazing days with Joachim as part of our recent trip to Burgundy and had an incredible time. He was an extremely knowledgeable guide about all things wine and the region and really made our experience feel special. We would enthusiastically recommend this tour for anyone looking to visit Burgundy and have already told our family and friends!

For those interested in wine (degustation as well as the making) this is a wonderfull experience. The combination of visiting the vineyards and the winemakers, the visit of l'hospice de Beaune and the pick - nick was a perfect mix.

Tour of the Ages - There is so much history in the region of Beaune and there is no better way to experience it than taking this incredible tour with Matthias from A La Francaise Burgundy. He is extremely knowledgable and we learned so much about the history of the Burgundy region and the wines, vineyards and wine makers. But most of all, he is one of the most likeable guys you will ever meet. He also took us on a slight detour to learn about the making of mustards which, ironically, is not in Dijon. It's in Beaune as well, We also met some very nice and interesting wine producers on the tour. One of the best day-trips I have ever had in all my travels. A must do!!

Very Informative and Fun Wine Tour - Our tour of Beaune and the surrounding wine country was thoroughly enjoyable. Our guide, Matt, was extremely knowledgeable regarding the vineyards and wineries of Burgundy. He carefully chose three wineries for us to visit, each unique. We had a very nice lunch at one of them. He also gave us a bit of a culinary tour of Beaune itself, visiting a wonderful cheese shop among other producers.

Interesting for All, regardless of Prior Wine Knowledge - We just got back from a trip to Burgundy and Champagne, and this tour was one of the highlights! Mathias was extremely knowledgable about the area in general and wine, and clearly has a passion for sharing it! We visited three different wineries, each very different. It was clear that at each winery he was respected and trusted by the owners. This relationship made the experience at the wineries seem very personal and not mechanical like some other tours I've been on. Additionally we visited a couple historical sites and had an amazing lunch of local products. This rounded out a great day of touring the area. Mathias also helped us understand the process of consolidation our wine shipping wine to the US. He even followed up with us twice after the tour to be sure we were able to include some wine we had purchased on other parts of our trip with what we had purchased on the tour. Even offering to call the shipper if we needed that. Mathias went above and beyond to make our experience memorable and enjoyable.

Wonderful day in Burgundy! - This was our third wine tour with Al la Francaise and once again, we had a wonderful day. Matt was an incredible host; very knowledgeable and fun. The day started with a tour of the Hospices de Beaune, then a stop at a local wine producer, lunch at a vineyard with another sampling, a third wine tasting with small family producer, a stop in some vineyards to enjoy sparkling Cremant Bourgogne and a few minutes at the Fallot Moutarderie. A huge shout-out to Matt for a fantastic time. He found a way to incorporate everyone’s unique requests into the day (went and purchased a bottle of Cremant and made an extra stop at the moutardarie when people in our group asked about both). We will always look to book A la Francaise tours when in France. Hands down the best tours we’ve experienced.

Excellent way to spend the day - This was our second tour with A la Francaise and once again we had an amazing experience. Small group size and an excellent host make for an amazing day. The day started with an in-depth tour of the Hospices de Beaune and then off to tour a very old cellar and taste wine at an amazing local producer in Beaune. We then toured the Cote de Beaune and had lunch at another beautiful vineyard in Chassagne Montrachet. We then spent the afternoon meeting a local producer in Pommard and walking around the expansive premier cru plots between the Cote de Beaune and Cote de Nuit. Matt was amazing and this trip is a must for anyone looking to have an authentic experience in Burgundy.

Great tour and learning experience! - We had a wonderful tour with Mathias as our guide. He was kind, polite, and very knowledgeable about the area and the wine. We started in Beaune, then loaded into the lovely van for a tour of the countryside and two additional wineries. We picked up picnic food at a restaurant along the way, and had our outstanding lunch at a winery with a tasting. It was a fantastic day, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
