A wonderful experience for friends and family - This is the third time I have been on this carriage tour. I bring family when they visit South Carolina. My family loves hearing about the history of Beaufort as the horse slowly winds its way through the streets of historical houses.

A beautiful way to see the historic area in Beaufort! - I would recommend Sea Island Carriage Tours for a horse carriage tour of the historic Beaufort district. The lady that did our tour was extremely knowledgeable of the area and had actually grown up in Beaufort and always lived there. We saw many beautiful homes and learned a lot about the area. It was a very relaxing, laid-back tour and she was very good at answering any questions that we had.

Fabulous Beaufort Carriage Ride - I highly recommend Sea Island Carriage in Beaufort! We had a wonderful guide that was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Beaufort and did a fantastic job showing us the homes and historical markers. It couldn't have been a more informative day, and we live here!!

Historic Beaufort Carriage four - The Civil War history of the area was very interesting. We liked the stories of the use of the homes by the Union Army in the Civil War.

Wow!!!! - So much history and beautiful landscapes in the town of Beaufort. We felt so welcome and comfortable in this town. So happy to hear all of the history and walk around the town. The water was beautiful. We only had one day in the town but I wish we had longer. The carriage ride took us right back to the olden days. Our tour guide Kelly and our horse. Angus was awesome.

We love it here - We have been coming here now for 3 years, PLUS a few times, years back when our Daughter / Family was living here while her husband was a drill instructor at Harris Island … we LOVE it here Peaceful, quiet, quaint, more than enough stuff to do, and this area is GROWING like crazy. New malls (YES, Malls?) and housing being built at a record pace, which might start wearing away at is't quaintness An hour from Savana, Charleston, 30 minutes to Hilton Head … We are looking to places to stay next year already. Save a bunch when booking a month and at a year out. Spanish Moss Trail is right down the street from where we are staying, and that is an awesome trail for walking without having to deal with traffic.

Charming carriage ride - What a fun experience! Jennifer & Misty are fantastic together. Jennifer is a lifelong resident of Beaufort, knows a ton of details about the area snd welcomes questions. Misty is a sassy girl who loves dogs & the boy horses which added to the charm of the ride. Along the ride you’ll see beautiful architecture, stunning live oak trees and places of historical significance. Jennifer shared historical info along with movie locations and other interesting and tidbits. The carriage was easy to get in and out of with a provided staircase. They make a point to seat your party together as they call each individual group to board the carriage. There was plenty of parking available at the public parking lot in front of the marina at a reasonable rate of $1.00 per hour. Park there and enjoy a short walk (1-2 blocks) to the center of town on Bay Street to enjoy lots of cute shoppes & restaurants. Stop and sit in a swing by the waterfront and enjoy the cool breeze off the water.
