Lao Cai – Bac Ha (Scheduled for Friday)

Bac Ha - During the journey, travelers will have the opportunity to admire the serene countryside of the Red River valley, featuring quaint houses and lush rice fields.

By midday, the group will reach Bac Ngam, where a delightful picnic lunch awaits.

After lunch and a brief rest, the afternoon itinerary begins with a long cycling journey to Bac Ha. For those who prefer not to cycle the entire distance, a jeep is available to transport them to Bac Ha.

Upon arrival in Bac Ha, guests will check into their hotel for a two-night stay. The first day concludes with a refreshing drink, a shower, and a delicious dinner.

Bac Ha - Can Cau Market - Ban Pho Village (Scheduled for Saturday)

Can Cau Market - Participants will embark on a 1.5-hour bike ride along a scenic, hilly road to reach Can Cau market, located about 20 km from Bac Ha. This small yet vibrant market operates only on Saturdays. Upon arrival, visitors can explore the market, witnessing various ethnic minority groups in their colorful traditional attire, such as the Flower Hmong, Black Zao, and Phu La people, and browse a diverse array of local products.

Bac Ha - After lunch and a brief rest, the afternoon program involves cycling back to Bac Ha town. Along the way, a visit to Ban Pho village is planned, home to the Nung and Flower Hmong ethnic groups. Known for its plum cultivation, the village offers a glimpse into the daily lives and activities of the locals. Visitors can also enjoy a cup of corn wine, a renowned local specialty, at a resident’s home.

Bac Ha Market - Lao Cai (Scheduled for Sunday)

Bac Ha Market - Following breakfast and a morning coffee, day three begins with a short walk to the historic castle of the former Hmong King. Here, a local guide will share insights into the history of the Hmong people, and guests can enjoy panoramic views of the town. Cameras are recommended to capture the tranquil morning scenes.

Next, the group will head to the expansive Bac Ha market, the largest in the region, open only on Sundays. Upon arrival, visitors can explore the market, observing various ethnic minority groups in their vibrant traditional dress, including the Hmong, Phu La, Black Dzao, Tay, and Nung, and peruse a wide selection of homemade goods.

Coc Ly Market - The afternoon itinerary includes a downhill ride to Bao Nhai, where a boat cruise along the Chay River awaits. This journey offers breathtaking views of stunning caves and the tranquil riverbank life.

Afterward, a jeep will be ready in Coc Ly to transport guests back to the Lao Cai Railway station, where they will board a train to Hanoi.

Notes: Alternatively, guests can opt to return to Sapa for a more adventurous exploration of Vietnam’s mountainous regions.
