The absolute best experience! - I can’t express enough how grateful I am that we chose Boy as our tour guide. This was my dad’s first time in Normandy, and he told me, “Son, you picked an absolutely fantastic guide.” Boy was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging throughout our tour. If you’re looking for a one-on-one experience with detailed historical accounts of the area, Boy is the absolute go-to guide. He even surprised us with a special treat that was truly impressive. Thank you so much, Boy, for doing what you do. My dad, brother, and I will always remember this experience.

Best Money We Ever Spent in France - Our guide, Boy, was everything you could hope for in a guide. Kind, respectful and knowledgeable about all aspects of Normandy, including its history, its people and the battlefields of Normandy during WW II. His tour was full of personal stories told to him by the veterans he has had the privilege of guiding over the years. We highly recommend this man and his company.

It was a full day. Boy... - It was a full day. Boy has an easy lunch spot picked out on the route and will take you there. Boy was also able to make some adaptations to our tour to show us a couple of specific areas of interest. He is respectful, knowledgeable and very kind.

Absolutely wonderful! - Boy showed us an absolutely amazing day! He is incredibly knowledgeable — has all military history details down and knows his stuff! Apart from that he’s also a very sweet person - great to talk with and has some amazing family stories to tell. It was just my husband and I along for the tour and we felt so very well taken care of. Stops in order were: American Cemetery, Omaha Beach from Colville to Vierville -S-M, lunch stop, Pointe du Hoc, Angoville au Plain, Ste. Marie du Mont, Utah Beach. The hotel pick up was great and the hotel staff knew and spoke highly of Boy and his company. Would recommend Neptune Battle Tours to anyone!

Amazing tour of D-Day landing beaches with an amazing guide!! - I was one of six on the tour, our tour took us through the battle fields of Normandy and the country side. Let me just say if we did not have this tour guide we would probably been ready to call it quits because it rained all day and it was a bit cool. Boy our guide made the trip so interesting we were able to forget the weather and just enjoy the facts our guide provided. He was unbelievable in knowledge and I could tell he loved his job as well as the subject matter he delivered to us. We are so very thankful we had Boy s as our guide!

Private D-Day Tour with Boy and Neptune Battle Tours - My wife and I recently went on a one-day private D-Day tour with Boy of Neptune Battle Tours and could not have had a better experience. Our day began with Boy picking us up at our residence and we then spent the whole day visiting various sites critical to the D-Day landing. Boy was simply a wealth of knowledge. There was not single question he could not answer about the sites we visited, the war in general and even the various guns used by the Germans to defend their beach positions. It quickly became apparent Boy truly loves what he does and is personally invested in making sure his guests have the best tour possible. We cannot recommend Boy and Neptune Battle Tours highly enough for a private D-Day tour!!

Do Not Book Neptune Battle Tours through Trip Advisor. - Our guides name was "Boy" originally from the Netherlands who saw the movie "The Longest Day" and wanted to to learn more and more about D-Day and the Invasion on 5 beaches on July 6, 1944. He was pretty knowledgeable, but had a very "set itinerary for "9 hours" and didn't ask many questions from us or what might "really interest us". We started out with The American Cemetery and Omaha beach which took a lot of time besides driving there from Bayeux. This was the best part of the tour. We then had a lunch break, "which we paid for" including the guides lunch. Then we went to a residential house that the German head officers occupied (now owned by a "friend" of the tour guides") where many murals were discovered. My husband couldn't wait any longer and used the toilet facilities, I didn't want to impose as neither did our son, so the next stop was Utah Beach and we really needed a toilet break. Boy pointed us to these "OUT HOUSES" and said we should use them. Ok, my son and I went to them and My jeans were totally sprayed from the water after my son used the toilet out house. I was furious, as I had asked for the toilet facilities in the museum which the guide said were no longer available. After visiting the beach and surroundings, we said we wanted a break and had a cool refreshment at the "cafe on the premises of Utah Beach", which "HAD A RESTROOM'! Why didn't the guide suggest this in the first place to us and we could have just bought a drink in order to use the pretty good facilities! This private excursion cost us near $700 without tip. We did give him 40 Euros (@ $48.00 US) which was really way too much. Not happy with this guide or tour, as this was a "ONE SHOT DEAL" so to speak and didn't need messing up. Also we booked a "top hotel" in Bayeux and Trip Advisor should have scouted everything out way better.
