- Petronas Twin Towers - Standing at 451.9 meters, the stunning Petronas Twin Towers are a globally recognized symbol of modern Malaysia. They are the centerpiece of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) development, which includes landmarks like the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Suria KLCC shopping mall, luxury hotels, a mosque, and the beautifully landscaped KLCC Park. Visitors can explore the Skybridge on the 41st floor and the Viewing Deck on the 86th floor. The Skybridge, connecting the two towers at levels 41 and 42, is the highest two-story bridge in the world.

- Istana Negara - Istana Negara, or the National Palace, is the official residence of the King of Malaysia. This grand building on Jalan Duta became the National Palace in November 2011, replacing the old palace on Jalan Istana. It features 22 domes, with the largest reaching 40 meters in height. - National Monument - The National Monument honors those who sacrificed their lives for peace and freedom, especially during the fight against communism. The grounds feature one of the world’s largest free-standing bronze sculptures, created in 1966 by Felix de Weldon, who also sculpted the famous Iwo Jima monument in Washington, DC.
- Little India Brickfields - Brickfields began as a brick-making center in the late 19th century after a fire and flood devastated Kuala Lumpur in 1881. The disasters destroyed the town’s wooden and thatched buildings, prompting British Resident Sir Frank Swettenham to mandate the use of brick and tile in construction, giving the town its purpose.
- Merdeka Square - On August 31, 1957, the Union Jack was lowered at Dataran Merdeka to mark Malaysia’s independence from colonial rule, hence the name ‘Independence Square.’ The square, once a venue for parades, cricket matches, and significant events, is now preserved with manicured lawns, terraces, and a fountain. Nearby is the Royal Selangor Club, a mock-Tudor building with a rich history. The 100-meter flagpole at Dataran Merdeka is one of the tallest in the world.

- Thean Hou Temple - Built between 1981 and 1987, Thean Hou Temple is a modern structure with a traditional ornate facade. Managed by Malaysia’s Hainanese community, descendants of sea-faring fisherfolk from Hainan, China, the temple spans six tiers.
- Sultan Abdul Samad Building - A prominent landmark in KL, the Sultan Abdul Samad Building was constructed in 1897 and named after the reigning monarch. This stately brick building, featuring Mahometan or Neo-Saracenic architecture with a grand porch, arches, copper domes, and a 41.2-meter clock tower, served as the government administrative building during the British era. It now houses a Tourist Information Centre.
- Sri Maha Mariamman Temple - This stunning Hindu temple, one of the oldest, features a magnificent 22-meter-high gate tower and portico adorned with intricately carved images of Hindu deities. Inside, the deities of the Hindu goddess Maha Mariamman are embellished with gold and precious stones. - National Mosque (Masjid Negara) - Masjid Negara is a distinguished landmark with a unique star-shaped dome and a 73-meter high minaret. Located near the KL Lake Gardens, visitors are advised to dress appropriately, with women required to wear headscarves. The nearby Islamic Arts Centre offers further insights into Islamic arts.
