Only Semi Private, but still a nice day on the island! - We had a nice time on this island! Our driver was knowledgeable about all our stops, and it was great to get some history (and even see some shipwrecks) as we drove around. The vehicle was clean and nicely air conditioned. He had a cooler of drinks for us as well. We stopped along the way at some places that were not even on our initial radar. Then we went to Wingfield Estate- (you can buy Rum here), Romney Manor- (get a picture of the 400 year old tree as you drive up to the entrance on the way in), Brimstone Hill Fortress- (be prepared for a significant staircase hike up the hill to the top of the fort), Shipwreck Beach- (to see the Mongoose), and to Timothy Hill for some great pictures. I got to hold some monkeys along the way (for $5-$10 USD a stop), so bring cash if you want to do this. We spent about four hours with our driver. After we said goodbye my husband realized he accidentally forgot something important in the vehicle and with an international phone call to the number provided on the Viator reservation, we got the driver to come back to retrieve the item. We were SO thankful! Once back in town the port area has lots of restaurants, bars, shops, etc. so you could spend some time here before getting back on the ship. A couple notes for travelers and some room for improvement for this company: We were on island with three other cruise ships that day. We had booked way ahead and thought we were booking a completely private tour to begin at 9am for just the two of us. When we got off the ship and met up with Elvis (with his sunflower sign) in the port area, we were told that there was another tour at 10am that he was taking people on, and that we had a different driver- (this was not an issue at all). We were also informed, while standing there in port, that we had one more person joining us!?!? This was a solo man who had come from another ship. We weren't given an option on whether we wanted him to join us, and were just told this was what was going to happen. I don't believe that the solo man knew ahead of time that he was traveling around with us either!? That was shocking and disappointing, but what do you do in this situation? We were stuck. Luckily, we all ended up agreeing on where we wanted to spend our day on the island, and we did get along well that day, but this could have been an problem for not just us, but also the solo sailor. If the company is going to combine tours, there needs to be some communication ahead of our money being spent, and we need to be able to decide if we want to continue with extras or get a refund. It was wrong for them to just added someone so they could make more money off the same day. If it could be a semi private tour, then it needs to be titled this way. My next suggestion for the company would be to communicate using the chat on Viator and answer any tourists comments/questions ahead of the tour. I had asked questions and never got a response. On other islands I received confirmations and helpful tips from other private drivers and that would have been nice in this case. All in all, we had a nice day with a fun and friendly driver who went above and beyond for my husband while back in the port area. We got to meet someone new, and even took a picture with all of us to look back on. I gave this a four rating, just because it was semi private with little communication.

A great day seeing the best of St. Kitts - We were our Driver Elvis’s only two passengers. As we were both early & the ship was leaving at 4.30 we agreed what was important for us to see & set off. Elvis is a lovely man & was informative & coped really well with the hazardous roads & jam caused by a breakdown at the Fort. An interesting trip. Don’t bother with the Shipwreck Bar. Too busy, scruffy & restaurant staff rude but you might see a real free Monkey & Mongoose there. The next beach club Carambola further up was fabulous but like many of these beaches you hire a bed & brolly for the day & it’s only worth it if you are staying more hours. All in all a great trip seeing some fabulous sights, getting great pictures & learning all about the culture of Basseterre.

Nice people, tour needs a little work. - Was hoping to get Elvis based upon his great reviews... after some confusion and extra last minute bookings, Peter took us on our tour. Super nice guy and gave a good tour, however I was hoping that at each stop he'd continue to be our guide. He gave good information between each stop, but left us to fend for ourselves at each stop. Of note Romney and Brimstone do not provide any onsite tour guides, nor much relevant information for a self guided tour.
