A highlight of our time in the Basque region - Just the most wonderful introduction to Pintxos preparation. Lander is a warm, professional and extremely knowledgeable chef.

Cooking basque pinxtos with Lander an unforgettable experience. - Cooking class with Lander was the best thing we did in San Sebastián. He was friendly , knowledgeable and the good we cooked was amazing especially the basque cheese cake . Food was paired with local craft beer, cider and sparkling wine . Fabulous way to spend 4 hours and given copies of all the recipies and local recommendations . A really cool thing to do with my teenage daughter. Lander was an exceptional host

Must do cooking experience in San Seb - Fantastic cooking school. Lander is a superb host and chef. Super friendly setup in his own apartment. The dishes prepared were really tasty, and we learnt heaps on how to make them. It’s a must do when in San Seb. Highly recommended

Amazing cookingclass - Thanks Lander for the amazing Basque cookingclass. We already made several times the gilda and tortilla at home. Only the suggestions of the restaurants are a reason to book this class!

Great Basque chef, great experience - Lander was such a chef, and teacher. My wife and I were there with two other couples, and we spent four hours in Lander's studio learning and enjoying a wide variety of Pintxos recipes. Lander guided us through every step, so we knew what the ingredients were, where they came from, and how they contributed to the overall taste. We came away full, happy, and with some great recipes to try out at home.

Cooking With Lander Gonza was my best day in Donostia-San Sebastian - I cannot recommend Lander Gonza highly enough. If you're able, take some of his classes! He was a wonderful teacher: organized, patient, charming, funny, good with kids and oldsters. And he loves fresh, creative flavours. We learned to clean, brine and pickle fresh #anchovies; to clean and fry fresh #squid (including dealing with the ink and the spine). We made a fresh salsa for our anchovies, and the #Basque version of potato omelette. We ate fried fresh chilies, usually sweet, but sometimes -wow! We worked with some local cheese, heavy cream and pre-cooked & chilled penne to make a dynamite version of mac n cheese; Local sausage and a bit of phyllo pastry, an egg wash and sprinkles of sesame seeds = perfect kid-friendly finger food. Desert was a fantastic cheese cake. We drank local #cider, txtakoli (Basque wine made from young grapes), and a beer named after Basque fisherman. All in all, it was delicious, fun, and the nicest experience I've had in Donostia. I've started following Chef Gonza on his Instagram: @ama_ur_studio

Unique (and tasty) family activity in San Sebastian - Chef Lander is amazing! We did a private class for our family parents plus teen children. Great and tasty pinto menu, which chef adjusted as we wanted to also learn to make tortilla española. We learned a lot from this class and will be scheduling additional classes/tours with Lander next time we visit.

A memory for life - The cooking class was a memory for life. Lander the chef is really a master chef and also a very nice person. We celebrated one of our friends birthday and he said it was one of the best days in his life. The food we made was delicious and the enviroment cozy and relaxed! Thanks Lander for a really special and lovley class! We have already recommended some of our friends to go to San Sebastian and join your class.

Fantastic class - a must for all chefs - Just book it already!! It's a fantastic class taking you step-by-step through the different Pintxos, and how to prepare and plate them. The local ingredients are carefully explained and shown on a map to see exactly where they come from. The Pintxos were served with the accompanying drink, so you know what to have with each one. Detailed printed instructions were given at the end including notes on where to try the originals and also good restaurants in the area. All-in-all a fantastic class and I highly recommend it for cooks at all ability levels.
