Abadia de Montserrat - We’ll pick you up at 8:30am at your hotel or apartment in Barcelona and we’ll head straight to Montserrat in private transport approximately an hour drive away.Once at the top, your guide will take you on a walking tour through the monastery explaining the geological formation of the mountain and the history of the virgin (Black Madonna).
We’ll visit the church where you can attend a mass and enjoy the beautiful interior design, and see the unique chapels accompanied by guide. - Montserrat Museum - You’ll also have the opportunity to visit the museum which houses one the most incredible collections of art in Catalonia complete with sculptures, drawings, and paintings. Here, you’ll see pieces from Picasso, Dali, Caravaggio, Monet, Sisley, Renoir, Rusiñol, Pisarro to name a few.
- Mercat de Montserrat - You’ll enjoy the stunning views and the unique landscape of the area and then we’ll have time to sample and purchase the well-known cheeses and honey from Montserrat in the market.
- Sant Sadurni d’Anoia - We’ll continue on to a local restaurant where you’ll have a marvelous three course meal taking pleasure in the exclusive gastronomy of the area, one of the most important appellations of origin in the world and have a complimentary glass of Cava (Catalan Champagne).

Vilafranca del Penedes - Next, we’ll take you to have an unforgettable experience in a small production family-owned winery where you’ll learn all about the process of wine production from the vineyards to the table. With your guide you’ll listen to a specialized enologist who will immerse you in this magical world of wine. You’ll have a private tasting of different local grape varieties like macabeu, xerel.lo and perellada amongst others from other countries.
After the tour, we will bring you back to Barcelona and we’ll drop you back off at your hotel or apartment in Barcelona.

Travelling in a private vehicle, we will journey to Montserrat mountain, located approximately 50km/30mi from Barcelona, enabling you to witness the virgin of Montserrat, stroll through the rare and beautiful peaks, appreciate the stunning vistas, and explore the museum laden with a vast collection of artistic works from the 13th to the 20th centuries.
Post your cultural encounter, treat yourself to a scrumptious three-course meal at a local eatery, brimming with regional specialties. Tour if you are in Barcelona our tour guide, Feliciano was fabulous and fun! He had so much knowledge. Great tour!!

Perfect day - Our tour guide, Xavier (Chavi), was absolutely fantastic. We booked for 9:00 a.m. (with a 7:45 pick-up) and got to Montserrat before the crowds—it was almost empty, and what a joy to have the run of the place. We had all the time in the world with Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey and La Moreneta. We opted to take the funicular to the top and hike a bit rather than visit the museum, and then we came back down to enjoy a break for coffee and water. We then headed to a beautiful lunch at a winery with a fabulous view and on to a delightful wine tasting at another winery. The entire day was perfect, and Chavi was a delight.

Not to miss - What an amazing day! Miguel is a great guide! Extremely knowledgeable about Montserrat and its interesting history. He timed the tour perfectly, so we were able to see the Madonna before the line formed. Had an amazing lunch with beautiful views. We learned so much about Cava and had a wonderful time at the winery! Thank you Miguel!!

Perfect tour for visitors of Barcelona - Miguel Suarez Perez was an amazing tour guide! We honestly felt like we were hanging out with our very knowledgeable good friend all day! Montserrat was gorgeous! Magical experience. Miguel took us to a gorgeous scenic restaurant. Absolutely delicious! The last stop was to the Pares Balta organic winery where David taught us so much about wine making and fermentation! He was lovely and the eine tasting was great! The Cosmic and Blanca wines blew my mind!! This was such a great experience! If you’re coming to Barcelona, I couldn’t recommend this tour enough!!

Not to miss! - Miguel was amazing! On the way we learned so much about Catalan history. Our Monserrat tour was fantastic! We arrived early and were able to see the Madonna before the line built up. Miguel was engaging and fun. He timed the whole tour perfectly. Our lunch was amazing with beautiful views. The wine tasting was incredible! We learned so much and enjoyed the wine and food! I highly recommend!!

Like traveling with a very knowledgeable friend - Feliciano was a delightful guide! His obvious love for the region, entertaining stories, and diverse knowledge of the regions we visited made our time fly by! He was punctual picking us up, made certain we timed our visit to the Madonna perfectly, and treated us like friends throughout the entire day! It is obvious he is well regarded at the restaurant and vineyards we visited. Highly recommend this tour and Feliciano - he made a nice visit amazing!

If I could give this experience 10 stars I would, and it would be based 99% on our tour guide…Feliciano - My husband and I came to Barcelona for our 20th wedding anniversary and I actually booked this experience last minute while in our private car from the airport to our hotel. Our tour guide, Feliciano met us properly in the lobby on Thursday morning for our scheduled tour, and this began a fabulous day and a new friendship! The wealth of knowledge Feliciano shared with us and the kind and engaging manner in which he did so made it a day that flew by. The magnificent winery and the gorgeous lunch prior to the tasting were both sublime and we could’ve spent much more time there if our day had allowed. We will only select private tours with Feliciano when we return to Barcelona next.. and we can’t wait for that return! The day was worth every penny and more.. don’t miss this experience OR Feliciano.

An Amazing day touring beautiful places! - This tour is a must! Our guide Miguel picked us up right on time in our hotel in a nice clean safe SUV and drove us to Montserrat. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and explained a lot of Catalan history and culture to us throughout the tour. He was also great at taking our picture and never was bothered by our questions! Montserrat was amazing, a true experience impossible to explain in words. After the tour we lunched in a beautiful restaurant with great Catalan food, full of locals (not busy with tourists!). Then a trip to a winery where we tasted multiple varietals and learned a lot about winemaking in the region. It should be noted that Post Covid, this is a wonderful and safe way to see a beautiful region.

Three great experiences in one day! - Feliciano was a wonderful guide. I apologize if I miss spelled his name. He took us to Monserrat in the morning. Great recommendation to beat the crowd on a Sunday morning. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the area which was wonderful. After taking many beautiful pictures we heading to a restaurant in the Penedès area for lunch. After a delicious meal we headed to winery in the region to finish the afternoon. After the tasting and purchasing wine to be sent home to South Carolina we headed back to the hotel.
I would recommend this tour long as you have Feliciano as a guide.
