Additional Information

Our journey exploring Picasso’s life begins outside Els Quatre Gats Restaurant, a modernist establishment, which in Picasso’s time in Barcelona, served as a tavern and a hub for the artist community. This was the very first venue where Picasso showcased his prodigious talent.
Next, we’ll proceed to Sala Parès, a renowned art gallery. Here, Picasso and fellow artists from Barcelona displayed their creations. We might even enter the gallery to observe how it has evolved over the years.
We then move on to Carrer d’Avinyó 44, the site of a former brothel which Picasso used to visit. The women who worked at this place were the muses for his celebrated painting, Les Demoiselles d’Avinyó, a masterstroke in his Cubist portfolio.
As we wind up the walking tour, we’ll walk past La Llotja, a significant landmark that once housed the Fine Arts Academy where Picasso received his schooling as a young lad.
We end the tour at the entrance of the Picasso Museum. Your guide will provide insights into what you should look out for during your independent exploration of the museum.

Great Overview of Picasso and the Museum - Amazing tour!! EOGHAN was amazing! Friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and he made a point to chat with me everyone! The information about Picasso before the museum was fantastic and really created a good intro before the art. The museum itself is brilliant- great space and great collection. Highly recommended!!!

One of my favorites! - This was one of my favorite tours! The guide was very knowledgeable- you discover so much about Picasso’s life throughout the Gothic Quarter. You end the tour at the Picasso Museum with skip the line tickets. When our cell phone was having issues connecting to collect the tickets, our tour guide was super helpful and waited and scanned us in at the entrance. Highly recommend!

Picasso Museum and hike beforehand - We went to the Picasso Museum after a lovely tour. Our guide Andrés made the tour very pleasant despite the rain and even gave us some tips on good places to eat when we asked :)

Just okay - Can’t control the weather and we got drenched but we’re left without our umbrella as you cannot take them in but we were not given a map and had no idea how to get back to our meeting spot.
