TOUR DETAILS
Our first stop in Montserrat will be its Benedictine Abbey, originally constructed in the 11th century and the dwelling place of Catalonia’s Patroness Saint.
Following this, we’ll ascend the mountain peak via funicular railway, offering breathtaking views of Montserrat’s Natural Park and the remainder of Catalonia from a soaring perspective.
Throughout the hike, we will traverse the same routes once walked by pilgrims centuries ago, marvel at Montserrat’s intriguing plant and wildlife, and delve into unique terrains where rocky columns and deep chasms reveal the mysterious inner workings of the massif’s concealed water sources.

Highlight of our trip to Barcelona! - This tour was FANTASTIC! This was the highlight of our trip to Barcelona. Both Uni and Frank were great guides. They took excellent care of us, were very friendly and made everyone feel comfortable. I cannot recommend them highly enough. My entire family had a great day and have not stopped talking about it. Montserrat is breathtakingly beautiful and Frank and Uni made sure that we saw all that Montserrat had to boast! We were sorry when the day was over!

Excellent trip with a good guide! - We as a couple from Sweden went on this beautiful trip on Sunday. Our guide Jordi, a master guide who is kool, relaxed, fun to be with.. he guided us throughout the trip with lively and happy commentary. We were lucky to see the earlier times cultural festival happens rarely. Jordi gave us enough time to see it. He explained us their great history in detail starting from 10th century including monks, black Madonna, herbs, minor details with their past like far houses up in the hill, funny names of the hill shapes, serrat.. etc. Fantastic adventurous trip made memorable with a good guide, thank you Jordi!!

Great experience with great tour guides - The trip was well oganised. The tour guides - Jordi and (I am so sorry don’t remember his name 🥺) were amazing by their knowledge and personalities. They told us about history of monastery, mountains, geology of rocks and the trees, bushes and herby we saw. There was not problem with anything. And I really appreciate the possibility to switch the group into hiking one because I didn’t see i app take your guide the options (my bad). Worth of every penny..I highly recommended

Grateful beyond measure - An absolutely excellent tour of the Montserrat Monastery and a wonderfully rewarding hike up Montserrat. Frank, my mountain guide was excellent. He was funny, knowledgeable and caring. The satisfaction of the tour attendants was his goal and it was easy to tell. He was patient and took time to answer questions and was more than happy to take pictures. The trip was easy, and straightforward from the pick-up spot to the monastery, up the mountain and back home. The tour was very punctual as well which helped me keep my itinerary. Thank you Frank!

Beautiful scenery, highly recommend. - The views were amazing, I took heaps of photos. Our guide (Uni) was very friendly and fantastic at explaining everything. Highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a scenic walk down the mountain. Hike is not challenging for anyone who exercises regularly but may be slightly challenging for those who don’t usually walk down steep mountains (option is provided so that people can take the funicular back down).

Hiking is the highlight of this tour - The Montserrat Monastery tour didn’t live up to our expectations; the windy and cold day dampened the experience. Nevertheless, I’m pleased with the scenic mountain hiking we booked. Our guide, Philip, was fantastic—knowledgeable and funny. The descent from the mountain top to the Monastery was manageable, and the view was breathtaking.
