- Mosaicos Barcelona MOSAICCOS (Trencadís) - Tailored for families with youngsters, this mosaic workshop promises a memorable bonding experience. Engage in a creative session with your loved ones as you delve into the iconic ‘trencadís’ mosaic technique pioneered by Antoni Gaudí. A variety of shapes are available to adorn, including animals like fish and cats, as well as hearts, butterflies, and picture frames. Participants primarily use ceramic tiles, but for those interested, Tiffany glass is also an option (with an additional charge of 7 euros per person for the one-hour workshop). We provide an extensive palette of colors for these premium materials. This hands-on activity not only educates your children about the legendary Antoni Gaudí but also allows you to take a piece of Barcelona home with you in the form of a charming, handmade keepsake. Moreover, our MOSAICCOS experience is eco-friendly and has been recognized with the BIOSPHERE certification.

My goal was to provide family-friendly activities, which were scarce for children. This prompted me to orchestrate an amusing & imaginative event for the entire family (> 3 years), where they could indulge in the creation of mosaic arts, following Gaudí’s mosaic methodology - ‘trencadís’. You’ll be guided on how to use the resources, select your foundation and colors, and fabricate your premier mosaic masterpiece. There are various objects you can pick from, such as photo frames, boxes, and animal figures. Embark on this adventure with your kids; they’ll always remember who Gaudí was! This set-up is designed for a family consisting of 2 adults and 2 children.
Accolades & citations
In 2016, I received recognition for exceptional work with a master artisan diploma for significant contributions towards the Art ‘Trencadïs’. This was granted to me by the President of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
In 2019, I collaborated with Casa Batlló under the aegis of the UNESCO World Heritage Volunteers project titled ‘The Restoration of Casa Batlló, from inside to beyond its walls.

Awesome family activity - The Mosqic activity was memorable. I went with my wife and two kids (11 and 16). All of us thoroughly enjoyed the activity. It lasted two hours and went by very quickly.
We spend 10 days in Barcelona and this was the best activity we did during our stay.

Definitely worth the time! - Was a great way to spend time as a fmaily making unique and memorable souvenirs - we booked 2 hours and it was just enough for our girls - they tailor what you make based on how much time you have - by far our favorite souvenirs from our Spain trip came from this!

Really fun! - We had such a fun time doing this and our mosaics actually came out really well! My husband and I are not artistic at all, and even he had a great time. Kids are 11 and 14 and both had a blast and were very happy with their pieces.

Excellent experience - Thank you for a lovely experience. We chose the 2 hour course and were a group of 2 adults and 2 8 year olds. The activities were personalised and we were able to enjoy an experience personalised to age. We learnt lots about how to cut and place the tiles effectively. The course leaders were friendly and helpful and we were able to collect our finished items the same day. Highly recommended.

Wonderful experience. Highly recommend! - We had a wonderful time making mosaics on our last day in Barcelona. So great for the whole family - the kids loved it and we have wonderful souvenirs. Definitely a highlight of our trip and we are so glad we did this. It was so relaxing and the finished results are beautiful. Such a great way bring Gaudi to life!

Incredible Immersive Barcelona Experience! - We took our six-year-old daughter to Mosaiccos on a recent vacation to Barcelona and we all created our own mosaic. It was an incredible experience for all of us and we highly recommend it to any family or individual travelling to Barcelona!! It was such a fun, immersive experience that allowed us to learn, create, and have fun. The mosaics we made will be treasured keepsakes for many years to come. Thank you Mosaiccos for the incredible experience!! We will be back.

Perfect Gaudi Experience - What a fun way to gain an appreciation for Gaudi’s brilliance! Our family visited Casa Battlo and then relaxed together, creating our own mosaics at Mosaiccos. It was an absolutely wonderful day and the time at Mosaiccos flew. The staff was so kind and helpful, and we had a terrific time breaking tiles and arranging and gluing them onto a tray - which Mosaiccos grouted and had ready for us in 2 days! There’s so much to see and do in Barcelona and this was the perfect place to catch our breath. It’s right near the museums and wonderful food too. We highly recommend!!!

Great family experience! - We had a great experience here as part of a tour with Sagrada Familia. Our family of four (children 10/12 yo) had fun! We all felt successful creating our choice of projects (picture frame, animal print, treasure box). There were quite a few student interns available to help us. The two hour time limit went quickly and we could have actually spent more time. Highly recommend. One of our families top activities this trip and we have great souvenirs too!

Fun class with kids - Hopefully this is the correct company. We booked our mosaic class through Europe4Kids, and I believe it was here. The time was one of our favorites- we loved learning how to make mosaics and loved our take-home creations. Our own personal teacher was so kind and fabulous, but the other teacher there (perhaps boss) was somewhat curt and rushed us to finish. We really needed more time than the one hour booked, and I’d suggest 1.5 hours if possible, but it was wonderful!
