On our 1.5-hour journey, we’ll bridge the gap between medieval Catalan history and myths and the inspirations that guided architects in designing their breathtaking structures in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Our walking tour concludes at Angelika’s workshop. Here, you’ll be introduced to the mosaic technique known as “Trencadís”. This method - utilizing materials like glass and ceramic fragments - is a common feature in Catalan Modernism architecture. Angelika will guide you through the basics and the use of the essential tools to create your first artwork in ceramics like a picture frame, box lid, heart or a square. A beautiful keepsake to remind you of your visit!
