Great day trip from Barcelona - We had a wonderful day. It was a small group (6) and our guide Sergio was incredibly warm and pleasant, informative and easy to talk to. Montserrat was stunning, our lunch was lovely, and our wine tasting was not only delicious, but really interesting—Bibi really knew her stuff! Highly recommend.

Montserrat quick visit, lunch, wine tasting. - We had such a great time. Rod was an excellent guide and provided us with tips at Montserrat for maximizing our time as well as historical information about the area. He walked us around Montserrat and showed us what we could do with our limited 2.5 hours there which was very helpful. Lunch was fun and decent, especially for an included meal. The winery tour was great and our guide there David was equally as good. Great tour, would definitely recommend for getting a sample of the outside of Barcelona.

Montserrat and Wine Tasting - A great trip and well worth the money. Our guide was Rodrigo and was excellent. Only 6 people in our group. Was very relaxed and informative. He explained a lot of the history of Catalonia and pointed out sites along the way. At Montserrat he gave clear directions on process for seeing the area and where to meet up. Then had free time to walk around and do what you want. We chose to take the funicular up and a short hike. He guided us to the line for seeing the Black Madonna. Lunch was excellent at a restaurant in a small town. And then the winery tour was great. David at the winery gave an excellent presentation on the history and process, as well as tasting of three different wines. I highly recommend taking this tour.

Bang for your Buck - Sergio is a great guide! Once we arrived at Montserrat he gave the group an overview of the area, a tour through the monastery, and several options during the free time. This tour is good because, since it’s with a group it’s less expensive than other tours. However since there is free time you’re not obligated to do what others want. My group had people of different fitness levels so some stayed close to the monastery and museum while others went hiking to see amazing views. At first I was worried about what to do during the free time but Sergio gave recommendations based on your interests and activity level. There is only one winery on the tour but it’s beautiful and the pours are very generous.

Monastery + Wine in a Day: Perfect Daytour Outside Barcelona - Day well spent outsode of Barcelona. Montserrat was mystical & stunning! The views were absolutely breathtaking. The organic wine tour was a nice way to end the day. Tour was well organised — from meeting point, drive, stops. Sergio provided clear overview of what would happen throughout the day. He provided excellent information throughout the trip showing immense knowledge of places visited (Monserrat & wine land) as well as Barcelona. He is quite personable and showed great concern for the small group. I appreciated that he gave us ample time to explore Montserrat the way we wanted. Sergio is a great guide with freat balance of sense of humor + providing insightful and helpful information about the sites and Barcelona in general. i would definitely recommend this tour via Explore Catalunya and bonus if you get SERGIO as a guide…. He is amazing and you are definitely in good hands!!! Bravo!!!

A Must in Barcelona! - We had an amazing experience thanks to Sergio's welcoming personality and the beauty of both venues visited. The weather was cold but awesome for breathtaking views in Monserrate. The wine tasting experience was also a delight.

Very rushed tour. - Overall the tour seemed very rushed. Although Monserrat was extremely beautiful, we feel we did not get enough time to fully enjoy our time there. Once we took the funicular up to the top we only had a very short time to walk around. Not even enough time to go to St. Michael's cross. We, along with the others on our tour, also purchased tickets to see the Black Madonna and again, doing this made our lunch rushed. Food was average at best. Farmhouse lunch felt like a roadside restaurant. Winery was last. We didn't have time to tour the winery and cellar. We made it in time to only get the tastings. Very dissappointed.
