A local expert will take you on a tour of all the main attractions in Acadia National Park, which includes popular Somes Sound, Asticou Gardens and a genuine lobster pound for lunch!
Our route will commence with a scenic drive along the beautiful 27-mile long Park Loop Road leading up to the pinnacle of Cadillac Mountain. There, you’ll be treated to an expansive view of Bar Harbor and the neighboring islands.
Visit notable landmarks on the Park Loop Road such as Cadillac Mountain, Rockefeller’s stone bridges & Carriage House, Otter Cliffs, Thunder Hole, and Sieur du Monts Gardens and Nature Center.
Further on from the park, the trip extends to the summer retreat of Northeast Harbor where we’ll visit the renowned Asticou Gardens. After the garden tour, we’ll head to Southwest Harbor for a meal at an authentic lobster pound with views of the Great Harbor.
Feel free to spend as much time as you wish at each venue. We will identify trailheads and carriage roads for you to investigate later.
