Hotel - Sukamade
Sukamade Beach - Joining the night tour to look closer of the sea turtle come ashore laying their eggs under sea sand. Enjoying the tropic nature at night and the sounds of night creatures in the middle of the National Park.
Along the trip, the traveler are able to stop by at the local palm sugar and rubber factory to see the process of how to make a traditional palm sugar and rubber.
Sukamade - Hotel/Harbour/Airport
Sukamade Beach - Early morning at 06.00 all traveler are able to join releasing turtle babies program to the sea. Watching the cute creature back and grabbed by the wave for their new hope survival of living.
Rajegwesi Beach - Traveler are able to stop by at Rajegwesi Beach to see the beautiful view and the traditional fish boat, or even joining the local activity to prepare their traditional fishing boat

Get set for an adventure! Discover the wonders of Meru Betiri National Park and the nocturnal activities of sea turtles. The park is renowned for its enormous green turtles. This is the perfect escape if you prefer solitude, and residing in a national park hostel promises a unique experience. Join the park ranger in tracking down turtles coming ashore to deposit their eggs, and explore the green turtle hatchery on the spot. The turtle tracking begins at 7:00 p.m., with participants following the ranger to the sea. Early morning sees the return of turtle hatchlings to the sea – a momentous event to behold as the babies instinctively navigate their way to water, to be finally swept away by the waiting waves.

Great experience in nature - We enjoyed our tour a lot! Everyone was very friendly and we learned so much about the nature, history and culture of Java. We recommend the tour to everyone who likes to be in nature.

FANTASTIC TOUR - We loved the whole tour so much! We’re very thankful for having Supri and Mr. Pur as our guide and driver. They were always amazing and kind.
The things we experienced in the jungle with the turtles was spectacular and so amazing! Seeing the different villages and plantations was so cool and informative. The red island beach was beautiful and such a good ending for the whole tour. The food we got on the tour was fantastic and the best national food we have had in Java. The fruits Supri bought for us was so delicious and fresh. Just what we needed on a hot day.
Supri is an amazing guide with a lot of knowledge on so much stuff, and with an amazing kind heart. Mr. Pur is sweet and an incredible driver 😎

Best experience ever - We've join several tours in our trip around Indonesia and this is by far the best one. We combined Ijen tour with Sukamade, Nido our guide at Ijen was the best, very detail oriented and clearly knowing what he was doing, Daniel was our driver and was also very nice and helpful.
Our experience at Sukamade couldn't have been better, our guide Supri taught use A LOT about the daily life there and also about the animals in the area, our driver Mr. I'm sorry was hilarious and extremely nice. Even Gayuh, the intern who was learning to be a guide was the best.
We had the chance to meet Yoga, who organized our tour and we learn a lot about life in Banyuwangi with him.
Honestly, if we come back to Indonesia we will book as many tours as we can with East Java Paradise, they are the best!

Impressive experience - Guide, Ms. Merry (sic!) found the right balance between information and talking too much, i.e. when we asked something we got well-founded answers, but we also had time to enjoy the silence and nature - for us this mix was perfect. The turtle laying eggs and releasing the young the next day is an unforgettable experience anyway

Great trip to watch sea turtles (!!!) with great people - Sea turtles with a great organisation. Don't miss this on your trip to Indonesia/Java!
We booked this trip just two days in advance. The communication went exceptionally smooth, and everything was taken care of. We were picked up by our hotel, had a nice brunch of homegrown dragon fruits and other fruits with tea and great conversations with the organisor (Java) and our excellent guide (Sukri). Then we drove (with a stop for very nice lunch) to the forest. The guide told us about everything he saw and knew and answered all of our complicated questions. We saw the forest with many animals and the very interesting sea turtle sanctuary. In the evening we found a hatching sea turtle. The next morning we freed some of the baby sea turtles on their way to sea, and even visited a very memorable beach.
The accomodation in the jungle was simple (as you would expect), but decent (there even was wifi). The food on the whole trip was great and the whole trip was the best memory of my vacation.

The best experience we have to see turtle - That was amazing moment we had during a tour to Sukamade. Totally full of adventures got through the river with brownie water because raining on the day before, through the jungle and met local people along the trip. We were lucky met a turtle (Green turtle) at night and on the nex day we did release turtle babies on the beach. All activities were good.
Talking about the company, we appreciate to Yoga which had organized tour very good. Supri as our guide also perfect in share information a lot, his knowledge about this place very good - he knew well every people we met. This company is highly recommended to everyone if you want to go for turtle tour as we experienced with.

Incredible experience and great meetings - Incredible expérience : everything was well explained and well organisée, we were really active in the activity and were lucky enough to see a turtle laying eggs in the evening! It's such a unique experience, which we highly recommend. We found it good that the price of the entrance to the park was included in it. Our guide Supriyodi and our driver Anshory were amazing, interesting and caring. The related activities we did (visit the plantations, the Red Beach...) were just as exciting, and the journey to thé beach is super beautiful. The organizers were responsive to our requests (they prepared an extra breakfast for us the first morning) and even helped us for the rest of our trip! We really recommend this agency and these wonderful people who accompanied us.

Amazing experience to visit Sukamade - There was amazing trip with Agus as our guide visited Sukamade and lucky to have him a long the trip. It was a little sad that we couldn't see a turtle at night as the guide said that there was a full moon so the turtle won't came ashore but everything was good. All those had been paid on the next day morning that we involved in releasing young turtle on the beach. Good agency, and amazing trip. Thank you!

Sukamade Turtle Tour 25 january 2020 - And hereby the journey to Sukamade Beach 25 Jan 2020. With the Jeep from Banyuwangi. Nice driver Robit and guide Yoga Sandhitya. Turtles viewed at night that come ashore once in 25 years to lay eggs. You will be guided by rangers and therefore it will be a very respectful experience. Very quiet without light from flashlights (the rangers had infrared light) you can see this impressive and very emotional natural event. The next day you go back to the beach to deport young turtles and then you bury the eggs that were collected yesterday at the location so that they are "hatched" there. The eggs are collected because otherwise they are eaten by gulls and wild pigs. All this to prevent extinction.

Great tour at Sukamade turtle beach - East Java paradise travel is a good tour organizer we had along joining sukamade tour. The tour operator and the team either were so kind and superb well prepared to organize the tour. Sukamade is located on the remote area which are there no internet, wifi or phone signal. It is totally remote and hide away from the crowd. But it is not the reason you shouldn't come here.
Through the National Park forest with rocky terrain, river and local village, old rubber factory, cocoa plantation are good experiences for us. Enjoy the trip and witness the giant leatherback turtle lays their eggs at night and releasing turtle babies in early morning. The accomodation was so basic but it was clean and comfy. The food was good and dominantly indonesian food e.g soup and fried rice or noodle. Everything was good and the tour was so satisfaction.
My apreciation to this travel agency and team they did the best thing along the tour.
For you guys if you love adventure and want to visit Sukamade, book with them as we proud of their services.
