An incredible day trip out of Bratislava to a fascinating region! - We had such a great experience with Peter. Pickup at the hotel was perfect, the drive was smooth, and Peter went above and beyond to accommodate us. We had a wonderful tour of the very cool mining city, the castle, a delicious lunch, and still made it back in time to take the boat to Vienna! Peter is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and has a real talent as a guide. We can't wait to come back and do another tour with him!

A fab winter day trip! - Don't let winter deter you!! Our tour of Banska with Peter on a cold January day was fantastic. Banska was both interesting and stunning. And Peter is a wealth of knowledge, I'd thoroughly recommend seeing the sights of Slovakia with Peter - next time it will be the High Tatras for us!

High recommended day trip from Bratislava with great tour guide - If you are looking for a day trip to a picturesque town in the Slovak countryside, this is a great choice. Our guide was knowledge and spoke excellence English. Highly recommended! Read on for a more detailed description: Great tour! Martin was our tour guide and he picked us up about 2 mins from our Air BnB. The ride to Banska Stiavnica was about 2 hours-the end of the ride has a lot of hills and tight turns, so if you get motion sick easily you can let your guide know to slow down and he will. Banska Stiavnica is quite picturesque-your first stop is at a museum that used to be a lookout tower. Martin, our guide, was very informative and spoke excellent English as he led us through a tour of the museum. Then, we walked into town, where Martin told us about the town’s past as a mining town. We also went to the castle, where we saw the prison cells, bell tower, and some of the old artwork. There was also an option to do a tour of the Stations of the Cross church, but we opted not to do that. Afterwords, we had lunch at a local restaurant which was very good. The day ended with us going back into town, doing some souvenir shopping, and eating some ice cream. Afterwards, Martin drove us back.

Amazing tour! Great tour guide! - Our trip to Banska Stiavnica with Best Slovakia Tours is amazing from the very beginning. Peter is quick response and answer all my questions. The day of the tour, Martin picked us up from our hotel and then we started our wonderful journey with him, Martin is very knowledgeable and resourceful and caring. We really enjoyed our time with Martin! We had a blast! We can’t thank him enough! Highly recommend the tours with Peter and his team, especially Martin, my all time favorite! Peter was a fantastic tour guide, and he provided so much information about the town itself as well as the history of Slovakia and its place in the region. He was adaptable and tailored the day to our family interests. This is a good trip if you want to discover more of Slovakia outside of Bratislava. Banksa Stiavnica is picturesque and fascinating. A great day in Banska Stiavnica - Our guide gave us a great highlight history lesson on important events in the history of Slovakia on the way, then related various aspects of the town to those events. A very informative day with lots of hiking and a great lunch. Our guide was very attentive and it really felt like our tour was customized to meet our interests. It was great to hear some of his personal stories and share ours as well! It was a very hot day, but our guide brought plenty of water. My only regret is that we toured on a Monday and unfortunately the castles were closed for inside tours.
