“Once in a Lifetime Experience! - Incredible full day trip with Pedro and Carolina. They picked me up directly at where I am staying, and were kind (and funny!) from the get go. The timing of everything was perfect. Be prepared for some hiking (nothing too strenuous, but definitely a work out.) Wear comfortable shoes/breathable clothing! Everything was well worth it. The lunch (which is included) was very tasty! Carolina and Pedro also added nice touches to the trip. They were very understanding of me practicing my Spanish, and we got ice cream, and ate cuy (guinea pig)! While walking through the jungle, we tasted different fruits —right off the trees! All so yummy. The Devil’s Cauldron waterfall was amazing! We ended the trip with a visit to the “Swing at the End of the World”. That was really special. I couldn’t have asked for a better planned trip with good company. I was in good hands with Pedro and Carolina. If you’d like to experience the wonder of Baños in a day trip this is the right trip for you!” - Reviewed on 2024-07-14
The rain adds a mystical touch to the lush landscapes, making the waterfalls even more majestic. Don’t forget to wear waterproof clothing and carry an umbrella as you embark on this unforgettable journey.
Indoor Adventures and Local Flavors
When the rain becomes more persistent, it’s time to explore the indoor attractions and savor the local flavors of Baños. Head over to the vibrant Salasaca Market, where you can immerse yourself in the rich indigenous traditions. The market is a treasure trove of textiles, ceramics, and local products. Interact with the artisans and learn about their craft techniques, which have been passed down through generations.
After a morning of cultural exploration, treat yourself to a delicious lunch included in the Baños Adventure Tour. The local cuisine is a delightful blend of flavors, and you’ll have the opportunity to try traditional dishes like cuy (guinea pig) and fresh fruits picked right off the trees. The rain outside only enhances the cozy atmosphere inside, making it a perfect time to relax and enjoy the culinary delights.
A Rainy Day Retreat: Relaxation and Reflection
As the day winds down, take a moment to reflect on the experiences of the day. The rain may have altered your plans, but it also provided a unique opportunity to connect with the culture and people of Baños. Consider joining the Attractions Access Tour, which offers a chance to visit the enchanting Casa del Árbol. Swing over the abyss and take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the Tungurahua volcano. The tour is available from 4:30 AM to 7:30 PM, allowing you to plan your day around the weather.
