Join us for a memorable journey to the summit of Mount Batur in Bali, where you can witness a magnificent sunrise from the peak of an active volcano.
Here is the plan:
- From 01:30 to 03:00 am: We will pick you up from your accommodation in Bali
- At 03:45 am: We reach the starting point and our experienced hiking guides will give an overview and safety briefing
- At 04.09 am: Our guide will lead you in a 90-minute trek to reach the summit just in time for the sunrise
- At 06:00 am: Enjoy a warm cup of tea or coffee served by our guide as you marvel at the breathtaking sunrise
- At 07:00 am: From the summit, you can choose to head straight to the car park OR take a tour with our guide around the rim to explore the second crater (erupted in 1926), the third crater (erupted in 1963), and the newest crater (erupted in 1974 and 1994)
- At 09:00 am: We will reach back at the base
- At 09:20 am: Indulge in a breakfast at a restaurant overlooking the lake and Mount Batur
- Between 11:00 am and 01:00 pm: Expected time of return to your hotel
- Children 4-years and under are free with accompanied of an adult

The best experience of our lives! - Trekking to the Batur volcano is an unforgettable experience! Beautiful views, an unforgettable impression and the care of the best people. With a driver like Putu Pande and a JRO guide, it must be possible! We recommend it 100%! We had a great time, ate a delicious breakfast with a perfect view of the Batur volcano and tasted local coffees and teas in a lovely place. Thank you very much, guys! ❤️

Mt Batur sunrise - Had such a great time with get your guide guide tour with private transfer. Gede Dastra picked us up and was super helpful on the whole journey. He told us about the volcano and local tradition. Couldn’t recommend the tour more!

Great experience! - Amazing views from the top! Well worth the money. The tour guides are brilliant, JRO navigated the darkness to get our whole group up safely and took loads of great photos of our group at the top! Brilliant thing to do on your holiday! Highly recommend.

Well worth the work to see that view! - We had an amazing time hiking Mt Batur with JRO. He was so patient with us as we were feeling a little under the weather that morning. He encouraged us to keep going all the way to the top and we were so happy we did. Not only was the sunrise beautiful, JRO brought us coffee and showed us how he cooks eggs in the steam from the crater. We also got to see the monkeys as they came out just after sunrise. I would highly recommend doing this tour with JRO.

Amazing guide, terrific experience and incredible views. Highly recommended. - This was an amazing experience. My driver Putu was terrific starting with a friendly face at 2:30am 😀. My guide Gee Tono was absolutely fantastic. He was very patient and helpful for me being a bit unfit. Quite a few stops and he even carried my rucksack. He found me a perfect spot at the top of the mountain and helped me take lots of great photos. The views were so breathtaking I was very moved. Can’t explain the experience other than it was emotional and special. The mood of others on the mountain was terrific too. The monkeys were cute and the steam coming off the mountain was really special too. Couldn’t rave highly enough about the experience or the company. The breakfast was great too. What a special time. I am now exhausted but happy.

Magic morning at Mount Batur - Got up at two in the morning to climb the volcano that last erupted in 2000. We start in the dark with our amazing local guide Ketut.
With headlamp and bamboo stick, we walk through the agricultural landscape. Right now dry and lovely. But Ketut is worried about all the recent rain. The tomatoes are not ripening as they should.
Soon after, it gets steep. The volcano is not very high, about 1000 meters. But the tough climb takes its toll on us and that makes the joy even greater when we reach the top. The full moon is replaced by the rising sun in this magical landscape of volcanic smoke and light clouds meeting the first rays of the sun. And here we are, the whole family, at the top. We celebrate with boiled eggs and banana sandwiches. Wonderfully! Thanks Getyourguide for the experience.

The most amazing day ever!!! - I cannot speak highly enough of Mount Batur treaking. Their communication of how the day would run & their timings were on point, very very reliable !! We had the most amazing experience with them today and one we will never forget. The trek was hard but rewarding, we had the most amazing guide with us Wayan Budiawan, he is an absolute legend !!! Pushing us on and taking some great pictures on the way. We had a driver Putu Anton assigned to us for the day and he was also amazing. After the trek we went onto the white water rafting which was a perfect way to end an action packed day! Our guide on the water was Rye, he was so much fun! If you’re thinking about doing these activities, look no further than Mount Batur treaking, you won’t regret it !! Worth every penny. Thank you so so much guys, Paul & Abbie

Very enjoyable and fun experience - We all had a wonderful time doing the Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking private tour. Putu and Wayan were both a fantastic driver and mountain guide. All went smoothly and I would recommend to anyone wanting to do this Trek.
