Mount Batur, an active volcano situated in Batur village, Kintamani District, Bali, Indonesia, stands proud at an altitude of 1717 meters above sea level. It’s a must-visit hotspot when you’re in Bali. Your journey starts when your transportation arrives at your accommodation between 1:15am – 2:30am, the exact time depends on where you’re staying.

You will reach ToyaBungkah Village, your commencement point, at around 3:30am where you’ll be greeted by your professional trekking guide. Before the trek, you’ll receive a briefing about the trek and safety precautions. Your trek will take you to the peak of Mount Batur, a spectacular spot to enjoy a sunrise while eating breakfast and admiring the beauty of Lake Batur.

On your descent, you’ll get to explore a cavern located in the main crater of Mount Batur and encounter friendly monkeys. You’ll reach back at ToyaBungkah Village around 9am. On your way back, don’t forget to savor the taste of Luwak coffee.
