Full Day City Tour of Bangkok
The Grand Palace - The Grand Palace is Thailand’s most significant landmark, where visitors will be captivated by the splendor and majesty of the building and its throne halls. Additionally, they will be amazed by the enigmatic Emerald Buddha, the most venerated Buddha image in Thailand.
Chao Phraya River - Guests will board a long-tail boat to sail up the magnificent Chao Phraya River before entering the Khlong, which takes them off the usual tourist path.
Wat Khun Chan - Within the Khlong network, visitors will stop at Wat Khun Chan, an intriguing temple area seldom visited by tourists.
Wat Pak Nam - Crossing a small footbridge leads into the old alleys where a refreshing cold coffee can be enjoyed before entering Wat Paknam or the white stupa with a hidden museum. Back on the boat, the journey continues through a picturesque part of the Khlong, featuring a blend of old wooden houses and new modern mansions, until reaching an orchid and fruit farm where guests can explore and admire the various orchids on display. On the return to Saphan Taksin pier, there will be a stop to feed the sacred catfish in the Khlong.
Bangkok – Maeklong Market - Damnoen Saduak Floating Market – Kanchanaburi
Maeklong Railway Market (Talad Rom Hub) - The day begins with a visit to the Mae Klong Railway market, a local market that has developed along the tracks. When a train arrives or departs, vendors swiftly clear their stalls, only to set them up again moments later once the train has passed.
Damnoen Saduak Floating Market - The tour continues to the renowned Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Although quite touristy today, the market remains the best example of how a floating market originally appeared decades ago. A relaxing paddle boat ride through the maze of canals offers the opportunity to see the old part of the floating market and the local lifestyle along the canal. Off the boat, guests can enjoy strolling around the vibrant floating marketplace bustling with boats and vendors selling tropical fruits and other treats. For visits on a Saturday or Sunday, the tour offers the option of exploring either Damnoen Saduak or the smaller, less touristy Tha Kha floating market, where a short paddle boat tour in the backwaters includes a visit to an old Thai house making coconut palm sugar.
Kanchanaburi - Transfer to Kanchanaburi for a visit to the World War II memorial, including the Cemetery. Lunch is served in a floating restaurant next to the Kwai River Bridge. The journey continues to Wang Pho to feed wild monkeys. Afterwards, guests can enjoy a train ride along the railway from Wang Pho along the river for about 30 minutes.
