Highlights
  • Vermilion Lakes - Cycle from the Banff Train Station to Vermilion Lakes (or Lake Vermilion). A favored spot by photographers where the lakes reflect the iconic Mount Rundle that looms over the town of Banff. The three lakes are situated west of Banff and fed by the Bow River in the Canadian Rockies.
  • Bow Falls - Cruising through the Town of Banff, across the Bow river, next stop is Bow Falls. A major cascading waterfall on the Bow River, just before the junction of Spray River, Bow Falls is set in a big river valley eroded by past glaciers, and is a local landmark.
  • Banff Springs Golf Course - A bicycle ride around the golf course loop begins with an inspired start below the cascading waters of Bow Falls. From here, the route crosses just about every type of mountain scenery. The slopes of Mount Rundle and Tunnel Mountain tower over riders as the road turns and the Bow River suddenly appears. Not just a favorite place for golfers to enjoy one of the worlds top-rated courses, elk, deer and even bears are often spotted crazing and passing through the stunning corridor.

Mountain Lakeside E-bike tour - We just returned from Bike Banff's 4-hour Mountain Lakeside E-Bike tour and cannot recommend it highly enough. We have had a wonderful time visiting the area, with many great tours and guides, but this tour and our amazing tour guide Joe tops the list. Along Bow River, by the mountains (too many to name), by Cascade Pond, Lake Minnewanka and Two Jacks Lake, every turn had another jaw-dropping view. Joe lives in Banff and knows and loves the area well and his narration added to the joy of this journey. This was our first time on E-Bikes and they allowed us to handle the 28K (17 miles) and all its hills with no problem. Don't miss this!

Best way to take in surrounding Banff. - Could not have been happier with my bike rental today. The service and advice, and importantly the bike itself were just great. They even gave me a jacket in case I got caught in the rain! A quick lesson and bike adjustment to suit my frame and I was off on one the suggested routes, over Tunnel Mountain. A very user friendly e-bike. What a way to see surrounding Banff!!
