Great activity, amazing guide! - This was absolutely a highlight of our time in Banff! Tom was an excellent guide, extremely knowledgeable, and kept us well entertained on our trip up and down the River. The views were stunning, and Tom’s knowledge of the area really helped us to plot out our upcoming days in Banff. Would absolutely love to do this again and highly recommend!

Evening paddle on the Bow River - We had an amazing experience. Our Aussie friends Loved the evening paddling on the Bow. Lindsay was our guide. She was very informative. She told us about life on the river. We were able to see a couple of muskrat, some ducks and a beaver swimming around its den. No paddling experience required. From start to finish it was a fun and informative time. Would recommend this trip and ask for Lindsay!

Relaxing Paddle & Wildlife in Banff - Relaxing paddle down the bow river with our guide Alec, who was very knowledgable - he even taught us how to do some bird calls! Wildlife was a bit shy but we did see a beaver and an Osprey and learnt a lot about the Flora and Fauna of the area. A great experience and thoroughly recommended

Awkward boat, fun experience - If you've been to Banff, you've seen the tacky tourist trap giant canoes with the fake bark painting and Canadian flag hanging off the back. Despite feeling a bit ridiculous in one of these behemoths, we found the evening wildlife tour to be a lot of fun, delivering amazing views and, as not promised but definitely hoped for, wildlife. Our tour guide, Emily, provided some narration on the way upriver as we all paddled hard to get the boat to move. We saw several elk snacking along the side of the river, a few birds, and a beaver that seemed determined to put on a show for us, swimming parallel to our boat, getting out of the water several times, and finally slapping its tail while making a plunge. Nothing earth-shattering, but a much safer way to see the elk than walking along the riverbank trail just a couple meters from the elk, which we saw some others doing. The views of the surrounding scenery were, as is typical of the park, spectacular. Be prepared: All the seats (snugly) fit two people, so you'll be squished up against one side of the boat. All the paddling is in one position, so your arms tire quickly since you can't switch sides like you can in a normal canoe or kayak. Our boat also listed heavily to one side since it was imbalanced.
