After being set up with a life jacket and paddle, our friendly guide will share some safety instruction and paddling techniques. Then load into a 12-seater Big Canoe and journey up the beautiful Bow River. Let our guide entertain you with fun facts, keep an eye out for wildlife and take in the stunning views. Many groups like our River Explorer Tour because no experience is necessary and everything is supervised by a qualified guide. Your tour will be followed by a light refreshment at the end. Great for families! - I did this with 2 other adults, a 10yo, 8yo, 4yo and 2yo. Jon, our guide, was fantastic! He was great with my kids and super knowledgeable about Banff and the surrounding area.

Really lovely trip, great scenery, lots of info... - Andy was a great guide on his last day of the season. We paddled just a short way from the canoe club and were very lucky to experience an Elk on the left hand bank, who entered the water and crossed the river in front of our boat - great to see that so soon after beginning a lovely, calm and gentle paddle up the river, filled with great stories and information on tap form Andy, who was very willing and eager to answer every and all questions. A thoroughly enjoyable trip with a great guide. Thank you Andy!

Fun afternoon canoe trip! - This was the most beautiful relaxing choice to be on the Bow River. Our guide did a great job in guiding our canoe and we were able to relax and soak up the sun and the scenery. They were very efficient and safety conscious. We would recommend this experience. One of my favorite things we did.

Relax and take in your surroundings - We thoroughly enjoyed our canoe ride. Emily, our guide, was amazing. She was able to tell us so much about the flora and fauna and the history. All of the team were so helpful and friendly. We would totally recommend as it gives you a different feel to a hike, with a view from the river.

A MUST on your bucket list - Our wildlife Canoe guide is very knowledgeable and friendly. She took us on an amazing trip. During the way back, she told us to stop paddling and just listen to the sound around us. At that moment, we feel nothing but joy and peace. Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone.

Definitely do the Big Canoe - Our tour guide Andrew was awesome. He had lots of stories to share about the Rocky Mountains and wildlife in area. Everyone enjoyed the easy paddle. Scenery was incredible and loved the view from the lake. Nice change from hiking. We added this 1.5 hour trip on Bow River to our downtown shopping in Banff and Lake Minnewanka hike.

A GREAT tour - Had a great time on my canoe tour. Our guide Ramsey was knowledgeable, funny and helpful. We paddled about 2km upstream. I am not an experienced boater so needed to take breaks from paddling and that was fine. We coasted with the current most if the way back. The views were delightful. Saw Elk grazing along the river. Life vests and paddles were provided. The launch site was very convenient to the downtown Banff area. Would highly recommend this tour.

Spectacular views and so much fun - The Banff Canoe Club were amazing and so was Zoe our guide, great knowledge of the area and the scenery was spectacular, a thoroughly enjoyable canoe down the river and so much fun.
