- Melidoni Cave - (ROUTE 1)Now back to mythology Talos lived here, a prehistoric giant robot that Zeus gave to King Minos as a present to protect the island of Crete by crossing it from side to side with just a few steps! The cave’s history goes back to the late Neolithic period, as indicated by the various Neolithic tools and items found inside it. During the middle Minoan period (2100 – 1600 B.C) the cave was a worship site, probably of some female deity.
Among the findings is a double copper axe was found dating back to this period. During the Roman period the cave was used as a sanctuary of “Taleos Hermes” and sacrifices were performed here to honor him. The cave was actually a significant sacred site in the region, as it was situated on the “crossroad” of three great ancient cities: Axos, Eleftherna and Grivilon. (ROUTE 1)

An amazing experience - My daughter and I had an amazing experience on the Quad bikes. I have never rode one before but no worries I was well looked after and shown what to do and guided all the way. Such a bargain for the price!! 4 hours of riding through amazing sites and places. Plus we were picked up from our hotel and taken back afterwards. Photos of the experience were taken for us and then sent to us as part of the package. Take your driving licence on holiday as this is a trip that should be on your list. Thanks Nostos Safari 😊

Perfect! - Had an amazing experience! Perfect activity to do in Crete! Totally recommended.
We have got water, snacks and raincoat as the weather was unpredictible.
We travelled on roads and offroads with Quads.

Very good day and good walk - Hello, I highly recommend going through these people who are very warm and very welcoming. If you want to experience magnificent landscapes of nature and ridge. Afternoon Quad with family. - Very good time with the family, we were able to discover magnificent landscapes, cross olive groves and orange groves. The whole family enjoyed it. Very warm welcome in French and English, the quads are very comfortable.

Superb walk - Magnificent quad ride. In 4 hours we really have time to enjoy the landscape!! The person who welcomed us was really very friendly.

An impressive tour - The tour was simply great! The guide was extremely friendly, patient and competent. As a family with a teenager and a 7-year-old, we had 2 quads and the tour all to ourselves. The diverse impressions of this original part of the island really impressed us and the trips on the off-road routes were great fun. Breaks like ours at a traditional pottery would not normally be my thing, but it was totally entertaining and not at all pushy in terms of selling. We would definitely recommend this tour.
