Mike was great. As we were driving to the drop-in location he was telling us about Swatara Creek and it's inhabitants and visitors. He is very much a steward of the creek and cares much about the environment. When we arrived at the drop-in he gave me and my wife instructions on paddling and maneuvering. He reassured us that we would be fine despite this being our first time in a kayak. My wife and I shared a two person kayak and we had a blast. We were looking for activities to do together and this was perfect for us. We laughed a lot as we made our way down the creek. Thank you Cocoa Kayak for providing us a great time!

The water level was way too low in many areas for us to be able to enjoy a good kayaking experience. We should have been informed in advance that the water level was too low and the outing should have been canceled for a later date. I ended up dragging the tandem kayak that my wife and I had rented for far more areas than I should have. Unfortunately, her first kayaking experience turned out to be a very negative one and she will likely never go again. The water level could have been checked by your staff on the morning of our scheduled trip and we could have been informed of the situation far enough in advance to cancel our outing on this day.

This was my first time to kayak and might be the last. I am so thankful that my husband decided to get a tandem. I would not have been able to get in and out of the kayak as many times as was needed. I was told by the other members of our group that this was not a normal trip and should have postponed due to the water level. The most experienced kayakers were complaining about having to walk their kayak over so many low spots. I understand that the water level is not your fault, but you should have given people the option of postponing. I will say that your team were nothing but kind to this old lady. Getting me in and out of the kayak was frustrating, I am sure. So, I am very thankful for that part. Please rethink how you handle this kind of situation in the future.

The work Cocoa Kayak and friends have done to keep the kayaking area of the Swatara free of litter was really beautiful. I don't think we saw one stray water bottle or old shoe on our float! Also, the kids working to transport our equipment were very professional and friendly,. Finally, the gentleman who's running the business (sorry, I forget his name) was SO full of knowledge and super personable. I have already recommended Cocoa Kayak to several friends (just since our float yesterday!).

The water in the creek was really low for our trip which made it difficult to navigate. The staff was very helpful & knowledgeable about the area, however it would have been nice to know for a 3.5 hour ride that the water was so low & perhaps we would have rescheduled.

I bought the Bald Eagle run trip for my husband’s birthday and we were not disappointed!! We had a Bald Eagle fly right over our heads and then got to watch the Eagle perch on a tree branch. It was a beautiful day and we were graced with being able to see a lot of other wildlife along the trip. We really loved being on the water and look forward to booking our next adventure! Coca Kayaks is the outfitter everyone should use! Super knowledgeable, great equipment, and staff were very friendly.
