The Journey Begins

As a seasoned traveler and surfer, I’ve spent countless hours chasing waves and exploring the hidden gems of Central America. But this time, I decided to trade my surfboard for hiking boots and venture into the lush landscapes of Bajos del Toro. My wife and I were eager to experience the Vuelta de Cañón waterfall hike, a journey that promised to be as thrilling as catching the perfect wave.

The drive to the trailhead was an adventure in itself, navigating the rugged terrain of Costa Rica’s countryside.
