Bahir Dar is located on the shores of Lake Tana, which is characterized by its numerous island monasteries, some of which originated in the 14th century. The lake’s more than thirty islands today constitute a distinctive ecosystem for botanical life.
The Blue Nile Falls, found on the Blue Nile River in Ethiopia, go by the name Tis Issat in the Amharic language, which translates to ‘smoking water.’ Positioned on the river’s upper stretch, they lie approximately 30 kilometers away from Bahir Dar and Lake Tana.

One of the best tour I've ever done - One of the best tour I've ever done. Meeting new people and enjoying different activities. We drove to the Blue Niles falls and it was so beautiful and we took a bout trip on lake Tana and visited ancient and so historical monasteries found on the islands of the lake, it really was a great time we spent on the day trip.
