Fishing of a Lifetime-Bahamas - Thank you AGAIN, Born Free Charters and Captain Willy! We always love going with Captain Willy-he KNOWS where the fish are! We plan on going again in 11 weeks.

Awesome fun packed tour - A great half day trip with Willie at the helm. After fishing for a while he steered us to a nice snorkeling site, then took us to Gilligans Island. We were also able to see sea turtles and some dolphins chased the boat for a bit. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Thanks Willie! - The Powers (crazy Mainers)

BEST day ever! - We had the best day ever with Captain Will! We caught wahoo, saw the turtles and visited Rose Island. We ate at the Footprints restaurant on Rose Island - which was excellent! The water at Rose Island is gorgeous and crystal clear. We traveled with our 3 teens and 1 younger child, we felt very safe and relaxed the whole time. This excursion was the best day of our vacation…even the teens say so 😂

5 STARS ***** - My family of four decided to try this company for a private half day charter in Nassau and it was truly a wonderful experience. The boat was clean and well maintained. But most of all our captain, WILLIE was exceptional. The windy weather was not ideal but nevertheless Willie had options for us. He tailored the trip to our own itinerary and offered wonderful suggestions for stopping. Our kids 12 and 19 said this was hands down their favorite day of our Nassau vacation. We really appreciated your service Willie. Thank you for such a special experience. One we will never forget. Next time we will book a full day charter. 5 stars.

Great Half Day Excursion on the Free Spirit - The crew of the Free Spirit was wonderful. We had a large group of eight, four couples. We had asked that we stop at a reef or two to snorkel and spend the rest of the day exploring a private beach. Based on the weather, the crew knew the best place to go and made sure we had a great place to snorkel. After snorkeling, they found a very private spot on a beach and let us just hang out for the rest of our time. I cannot say enough good things about the crew we had our day. They were funny, professional, and knowledgeable, accommodating our requests. The boat was very clean and in great shape. Everyone in our group had a great time, and we would definitely book with Born Free Charters on the Free Spirit again. I do not doubt that if you wanted to do something other than snorkel or swim, they would do a good job.

Excellent experience - I caught a barracuda and my wife caught a shark. We went snorkeling too. Our four year old was scared of choppy boat rides, and they went slow to get started. On the ride back, she was nothing but giggles. I highly recommend this experience. We loved having the boat to ourselves, and not having to share it with others. They were very kind and helpful.

The best private excursion!! - Willie our captain was amazing! Very informative, interactive and has a great personality. The boat was the perfect size for my group (7). If we come back we will be booking the same boat tour. Private is the way to go!

Highlight of the Cruise - My family and I had the pleasure of chartering a 6 hr fishing trip (we were going to do snorkeling too but decided to keep fishing) with Capt Willie on the 34’ Free Spirit last week while in port on a cruise. Highlight of our vacation!!! Capt Willie worked hard to try and get us on the fish and has a wonderful energy and humor about him. The boat was spotless, well stocked and bathroom very large for a center console. Check in was smooth and marina a $30 cab ride from the cruise terminal. (for 7 minutes LOL) Don’t hesitate to book the Free Spirit with him when in port or staying on island, we can’t wait to come back and this time find that Mahi!!

Fishing and snorkeling. - The fishing was slow but the snorkeling was amazing. The snorkeling gear could have been newer and updated.

not a good guide - We rented the Free Spirit boat for half day. It should be better to specify that the rent is for 4 hours (from 1pm to 5 pm). We assumed by half day that we would have the boat the whole afternoon and that wasn't the case. On the other hand, the captain was a good driver but lacked of enthousiasm and initiative. We were hoping to have a person able to guide us properly and recommend a schedule of places to visit during the excursion from the point of view of a local. That being said, if you are looking for just a driver and a good boat, this is a good choice. The beaches we visited were beautiful. We were not able to fish : the captain said that fishing was very slow.
